size?’s Archive series with adidas was a hit throughout the last few months of 2019, exploring important historical moments of outdooring through vintage Three Stripes silhouettes. This week, the two continued that theme, with the release of their latest exclusive LXCON 94, themed after the infamous Carstensz Pyramid in Indonesia. Inspiration comes from the mountain’s place on the Bass List, a challenge created by adventurer Richard Bass that includes the highest peaks on all seven continents. However, another explorer swapped out a peak from Australia for Indonesia’s Carstensz Pyramid, an addition that many consider to make the list significantly more challenging.
size?’s interpretation of the peak rebuilds the adidas LXCON 94 with a Codura nylon base for the upper, layered with synthetic leathers in for a sturdy, weather-resistant build. The new look comes with a coyote-tan mesh base reinfored by layering in red and white. The laces come in a soft turqoise color, all of which can be found on the LXCON 94’s aggressive traction outsole.
