Japanese women’s sneaker boutique Forget-Me-Nots is adding another footwear brand to their range of partnerships this summer through adidas. This week, the two will launch their debut release, a square-toed version of the Forum Low.
adidas’ revived their Forum retro basketball shoe a few years ago for a string of special releases and collaborations just ahead of the model’s fortieth anniversary in 2024. The silhouette has taken a backseat since then, only appearing in one project from Unheardof last year. This week, Japanese retailer Forget-Me-Nots is taking on the low-top basketball shoe for a special release, drastically modifying the overall silhouette to fit their lineup of women’s sneaker offerings.
Forget-Me-Nots adidas Forum collaboration marks their very first release in partnership with the Three Stripes. Their previous collaborative work has been exclusively with Nike, including a recent T90 Shox Magia project as well as a Jordan Air Ship in 2023. For their adidas debut, FMN has reworked the Forum Low to their liking, dramatically changing the shoe’s sole for a wild new heeled approach to the model. The standard rubber sole has been removed entirely, and in its place FMN has installed one of the most unique toolings in recent sneaker history. The forefoot is fairly thin, and sports a square-toed piece jutting out from the front of the shoe, using two metallic gold rivets to hold the multiple layers together. The heels are much taller, featuring a similar squared off piece around the back, while a pod-like structure adds plenty of height underneath. The midfoot has no portion of the sole touching the ground, turning this retro basketball shoe into a women’s heel in structure. The entire shoe comes in a neutral tan suede, while white stripes and metallic gold trefoil branding completes the look.

The debut collaboration from Japan’s Forget-Me-Nots and adidas is scheduled to release later this week, on July 18th, 2026. This drop will be through FMN’s website, and no global release via adidas has been announced yet. Their take on the Forum Low completely removes the standard midsole tooling in favor of a heel-like design, complete with a square toe jutting out from the front. Pairs will come with a price tag of approximately $115.
