Bad Bunny’s sneaker line with adidas just keeps growing. This week, Benito appeared in a new adi campaign, unveiling his take on the F50 Ghost Sprint, releasing this Summer.
adidas has just launched a new campaign ahead of this Summer’s World Cup tournament, titled Backyard Legends. The star-studded project centers on Timotheé Chalamet as a taxi driver, on a mission to assemble a squad to take on an unbeatable trio; three local kids in a park. Chalamet is surrounded by a who’s who of football icons including Messi, David Beckham, Jude Bellingham, and Alessandro Del Piero. In the short film, another high-profile adidas representative makes a fun cameo as himself, Bad Bunny. Appearing alongside Messi, Benito is seen having a snack, and wearing a previously unseen adidas sneaker.
This sneaker appears to be Bad Bunny’s latest entry in his expansive arsenal of signature shoes from the Three Stripes. Leaks now report that the model is the F50 Ghost Sprint. The Ghsot Sprint is a retro track shoe by adidas that got a revival as a lifestyle shoe this Spring, leaning into the super slim sneaker trend of recent years. The F50 name originates in the early 2000s, celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the 1954 World Cup. F50 denotes the Three Stripes’ best-of-the-best football boots, and has recently been repurposed for their work on turning vintage boots into lifestyle sneakers. Benito’s Ghost Sprint likely pulls some design inspo from older cleat models, details we will see when we get a better look at the whole silhouette.
