The adidas ZX 420 Joins the Brand’s “Home of Classics” Collection

The adidas Originals “Home of Classics” collection picked up earlier this year, delivering a range of essential /// sneakers in a uniform color scheme. This week, the 1988 ZX 420 has emerged as another entry, coming soon.

adidas’ Originals “Home of Classics” collection is a wide-ranging footwear line for the Three Stripes, comprised of fan-favorite and innovative silhouettes from across decades, cast in a simple white and cream colorway and constructed from premium materials to honor the individual legacies of each model in the family. The project kicked off in 2019 with a small sampling of classic adidas footwear, but has more recently grown to encompass every pivotal model from the Three Stripes since the 1970s. This week, the adidas ZX 420 surfaced as the latest silhouette to join the collection, representing the ZX franchise from 1988. Built from soft leather, this pair adds a textured tongue courtesy of the adidas Samba, cream white midsoles, stripes, and inner lining, and a bold blue adidas tag on each tongue. Finally, the size of each pair is listed in the five various sizing systems on the outer heel, a detail uniting all “Home of Classics” releases.
