adidas Originals has unveiled another new iteration of the classic Forum to release this year, as part of the silhouette’s retro revival. This time, the Forum takes on a new technical materials for a “Deconstructed” look.
The adidas Forum is clearly the focus of the brand’s efforts this year, unleashing a massive slew of new styles and colorways in the first few months of 2021. Preceded by limited-edition collaborations with some of adidas’ most notable partners, the Forum has now settled into its place at the head of the Three Stripes in-line releases, flourishing in its new recrafted retro format. This week, we got a sneak peak at another new addition to the growing Forum family, this time deconstructing the classic shoe, exposing the inner workings through translucent overlays. The re-layered version most notably features a clear ripstop panel covering the quarter panels and wrapping around the heels, while still showing off the Three Stripes and heel cutouts underneath. The lacing system shows exposed foam on the sides, while the ankle collar also features some adjustments to account for the new panels.
