Reebok’s “International Foods” series was announced this week, casting several of their classic sneakers in food-themed looks. One of the three initial releases sees the UK brand teaming up with 43Einhalb on the “Revenge of Rui” Club C.
43Einhalb’s contribution to Reebok’s “International Foods” project centers around an interesting tale of a Rui Bu the Panda and his love of cooking, specifically his mother’s traditional Chinese noodles. That theme is reflected all across the shoes, from the details on the laces to the special takeout-inspired packaging. The noodle-themed Reebok Club C begins in an almost entirely white leather construction, save for the black sections of the brand’s famous vector logo. The black laces feature Rui Bu’s name and title, The Cooking Panda, repeatedly in white, while the tongue labels are emblazoned with the panda’s face alongside the Reebok logo. The shoes are packaged in a wide takeout-style folded box, complete with chopsticks and a message from the panda himself.
43EINHALB X REEBOK CLUB C “REVENGE OF RUI” RELEASE INFORMATION
Reebok’s third installment in the “International Foods” project, 43Einhalb’s “Revenge of Rui” Club C, is scheduled to release later this week on July 27th, 2019. The limited-edition tonal colorway will retail for the Club C’s usual $85 and will be available from both Reebok and select retailers.
