The last collaboration we saw from Vault by Vans and Amsterdam’s Patta came in 2017, where the left off the continuous “Mean Eyed Cats” project. Now, the series continues this month, with new releases of the Old Skool and Sk8-Hi.

Amsterdam’s Patta are an excellent source of exciting footwear collaborations, with a long history of high-profile projects with partners like Nike, New Balance, Vans, and many more. This month, the Dutch brand is releasing their latest project with the Vault by Vans division, picking up where they left off in 2017 with the “Mean Eyed Cats” series. The project, which already had its initial release from Patta earlier this week, is the largest Mean Eyed Cats collection yet, featuring a total of seven colorways across two silhouettes, though three of them will remain Patta exclusives. Nevertheless, the rest of the project is still set to release from global boutiques later this week, offering a second chance at a handful of new Patta-branded color schemes. All four pairs follow the same design language, featuring a suede or canvas upper emblazoned with the signature Patta script, while the Mean Eyed Cats slogan can be found printed on each (usually black) midsole. The four color choices for this release are tan and red for the Old Skool, and black or white for the Sk8-Hi.

The latest project from the Netherlands’ Patta and Vault by Vans has been scheduled to release later this week, on July 15th, 2021. The largest “Mean Eyed Cats” collection yet will be available from both partners as well as select boutique retailers, with price tags of approximately $120 for the Old Skool and $130 for the Sk8-Hi.
