The ongoing collaboration between Vans and New York’s Museum of Modern Art continues this week, refreshing the museum’s famed design store with five new art-inspired pairs of sneakers, coming in November.

Vans and the New York City Museum of Modern Art have released some interesting collaborations over the years, filling the museum’s Design Store with an exciting assortment of both footwear and apparel that takes inspiration directly from some of the gallery’s works. Still fresh off of their September 2020 release, this week the two showed off their upcoming pairs for November 2020, including inspiration from artworks by Edvard Munch, Jackson Pollock, Lyubov Popova and Faith Ringgold, the only artist currently living that is a part of this collaboration. Thanks to her contribution in turning her art into shoes, Ringgold’s work decorates two pairs from the collection, the mismatched feminist poster-inspired Era, and the colorful, geometric Slip-on. Other offerings include the Era decorated in Munch’s famous The Scream painting, Jackson Pollock’s Number 31 on the Authentic, and finally, Lyubov’s angular geometric shapes decorate the Sk8-Hi in primary colors.
