Vans’ archive of sneakers has been the canvas for thousands of different projects, from collaborations with brands, musicians, and artists as well as a few of their own in-house creation. This week, the Sk8-Hi and Era are dropping with new “Ouroboros” prints.
Vans’ latest pack of sneakers, launched quietly via China’s HBX earlier this week, features ancient artwork printed across both the Sk8-Hi and Era, which borrow Ouroboros prints on both the shoe’s canvas uppers. The Sk8-Hi features an oversized image of the sun, moon, and stars across the incredibly detailed upper, while the low-top Era focuses more on the ancient Ouroboros symbolism of a dragon eating its own tail. Both shoes are constructed from off-white canvas for the printed portions, and reinforced by smooth black suede for the overlays.
