Vans rolled out their new ComfyCush technology last year, bringing their footwear into a new age of comfort. Now, the Southern California brand is pairing the lightweight cushioning with tie-dye uppers for their latest release.

Vans’ classic sneakers have always changed over the years, slightly tweaking or upgrading the construction or the technologies inside to fit the modern times, without sacrificing the classic look of their shoes. Last year, the California-based brand made one of their biggest innovative leaps yet when they introduced ComfyCush, an extremely lightweight and flexible midsole cushioning. Since then, the popularity of ComfyCush footwear has exploded, bringing a new level of comfort to the classic skate-ready footwear. This week, the Vans team rolled out new Spring and Summer-ready colorways of the classic Old-Skool and Era ComfyCush styles, painting each in a tie-dyed checkerboard pattern. Each shoe features the brand’s classic tonal pattern in either white or black, with the opposite colored squares instead filled with all the colors of the rainbow blending for a beautiful tie-dye design.
