Vans’ lineup of classic skate shoes has carried them to be one of the staples of the sneaker world, but this month, the California brand is trying something new entirely. Check out the ComfyCush Slip-Skool, available now.

The Vans Old-Skool and Slip-On are amongst some of the most popular sneakers of all time, built originally for skateboarding before being adopted for casual wear by the masses. Now, both models can be seen in pretty much every country on the planet, but up until now, you couldn’t really wear both at once without looking crazy. This week, the California-based brand unveiled their latest creation, the ComfyCush Slip-Skool, a hybrid of the two fan-favorite silhouettes. The Slip-Skool combines the two sneakers in an unconcentional manner; by taking a standard Slip-On, and adding a translucent plastic shell to the outside that mimics the upper of the Old-Skool. This shell comes complete with laces and ventilation to let your feet breathe. The new silhouette also features a ComfyCush midsole, Vans’ premiere cushioning technology that debuted in 2019. The ComfyCush Slip-Skool is available now in two colorways, a red/blue combo and classic checkerboard.
