The year is almost over, but there is still plenty of time to squeeze in a few more sneaker releases before we dive into the new models and technologies of 2021. This week, Vans released a new pony hair-clad pack from their Anaheim factory, available now.

Vans’ hometown factory in Anaheim, California is tasked with crafting some of the brands’ best products, from special collaborations to one-off releases made from scrap and leftover materials. The SoCal facility releases new projects quite frequently, most often updating fan-favorite silhouette with fancy new material swatches, like this week’s release of the new “Lux Color Block” pack, which adds pony hair uppers to the Old Skool 36 DX. Available in two colorways, one brighter option and one more subtle, this pack builds both options in high-contrast pony hair paneling, with one color making up the base layer, and a second for the suede overlays, while white jazz stripes complete both sets.
