Vans checkerboard-patterned sneakers have been a staple of the footwear industry for decades now. While they’ve celebrated the pattern with unique iterations regularly, we’ve never seen anything quite like the All Over pack.

Vans classics are almost always viewed in their most recognizable colorway, the checkerboard pattern. A staple of the brand’s arsenal, the simple two-tone look has been applied to just about every shoe in the Vans archive, often reimagining the pattern with an altered new look. This month, the brand has released a limited edition pack to commemorate their most famous pattern rescaled and reinterpreted across three silhouettes.

The Vans “All Over Checkerboard” pack is about as loud of a look as it gets for the basic pattern. Using three fan-favorite silhouettes, the Old Skool, Slip-on, and Sk8-Hi, the California brand has covered every inch of each silhouette in the eye-catching checkerboard. Literally, every inch. The pattern is scaled to fit each piece of material it is printed on, so the inner lining and jazz stripe feature the smallest contrasting squares, while the main paneling features the largest.

The latest checkerboard-laden collection from Vans are available now, directly from the brand. The three shoe collection, featuring the Old Skool, Slip-On and Sk8-Hi carry retail prices ranging from $60 to $65, making these an easy pick up for fans of the brand’s favorite pattern.
