The king of collaborations is back for another round. Travis Scott is set to team up with none other than the golden arches with a partnership going down with McDonald’s very soon.
Surfacing all over social media, the Travis Scott x McDonald’s news didn’t take too long to make mainstream news outlets. Travis being known for his collaborations, the Houston rapper has mastered the craft at joining forces with other brands for obscure partnerships. Already crossed off Reese’s Puffs and Fortnite off his list, La Flame didn’t take too long to bounce back with a rumored September release date slated for the Mickey D’s x Cactus Jack collab.
As of now, we aren’t exactly sure what the partnership will hold but if we know La Flame, it’s sure to be a huge hit. it appears like the partnership will not include shoes but apparel and accessories are still on the table for a release. Knowing Travis’ love for ’90s aesthetics, we can vary well see the OG McDonald’s gang like Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Hamburglar and others to appear throughout the capsule as well. With Travis’ world-wide fame, along with apparel, we could even see McDonald’s release products on their end with an entire lineup of Happy Meal toys and special packaging releasing with Cactus Jack and Astroworld inspiration. With the rager himself leading the initiative and McDonald’s being on the other end of the deal, the combination of the two sets the bar insanely high.

For now, September is the only release information we have to give but expect the collection to become available via Travis’ on-line shop and maybe even your local McDonald’s store. UPDATE 9/7: The Travis Scott x McDonald’s limited time meal will be available starting tomorrow, September 8th through September 21st. Along with the meal, employees are expected to be receiving special edition tees to wear that you can check out below. Stay tuned for more updates on a potential Happy Meal toy and a full collection of merch likely releasing on Travis’ site in the coming weeks.
UPDATE 9/3: Travis Scott officially teased his upcoming McDonald’s collaboration which will be releasing September 8th, 2020. According to Business Insider, this will be the first of a series of upcoming partnerships between “big celebrities” and the fast food chain.
