Taka Hayashi and Vans’ Vault division are back with another release this year. For their latest project, the two are giving you the option to create your ideal pair of Vans, thanks to the extensive options included in the new “DIY” pack.

The partnership between Taka Hayashi and Vans Vault has brought us a whopping eighteen seasons’ worth of incredible releases, covering a range of different styles across the California sneaker brand’s seemingly endless archives of silhouettes. Every collection so far has paid incredible attention to detail as well as quality, issuing sneaker after sneaker constructed from top-tier materials and each personally approved by Taka Hayashi himself. However, for their latest project, Hayashi and the Vans team want you to create your own pair of shoes, with their new “DIY” collection. This release gives you the choice of either a high or low-top silhouette constructed with a velcro upper. Blue and red stitching cross back and forth across the uppers, outlining various overlays pulled directly from some of Vans’ most popular silhouettes. Included in each box are a number of each of these overlays, made from varying materials like suede, leather, and faux-animal hair, in pretty much any color you could want. The project allows you to go simple, or go crazy, applying overlays from multiple silhouettes and varying patterns.
