Streetwear brand Stray Rats and New Balance are gearing up for a new release, following on their 991 drop from earlier this year. This time, the two have cooked up two eccentric colorways of the 580, rumored to drop in October.

Stray Rats and New Balance are continuing their collaborative efforts for the third year in a row, having released a number of projects spanning the NB catalogue in that time. The last we saw from them featured the 991 runner in two colorways, and this time, they are highlighting 1996’s 580, a shoe originally released for running with plenty of support and an oversized look. As per usual, Stray Rats will release two colorways of the model, each taking on a striking color palette. One pair features olive green overlays set on a black mesh base, with highlights in hot pink, neon green, and royal blue. The second is equally eye-catching, mixing bold purple with maroon, yellow and green.

The next release from Stray Rats and New Balance has not been announced for release, though they are rumored to release later this year in October. Arriving in two colorways, pairs will likely be available first from Stray Rats, followed by a wider release from New Balance and select retailers.
