Last Fall, Stone Island and New Balance teamed up for a new partnership, collaborating on the footwear brand’s high-performance RC Elite running shoe. This week, the silhouette has surfaced in a new colorway, coming in 2022.
The debut partnership between New England-based New Balance and Italy’s Stone Island made waves in the sneaker world last year, drumming up plenty of hype for the performance footwear. Combining Stone’s textile knowledge with New Balance’s 100+ years of footwear expertise, the two delivered a unique version of the RC Elite running shoe. Now, they have matched up once again, crafting a more eye-catching version of the sleek runner. This time around, the RC Elite receives a bright neon green knit base layer, before adding its jagged overlays in a deep burgundy tone. The left shoe displays the Stone Island compass logo, while the right show’s the oversized NB logo typically seen on the model. Finally, a cream inner lining and matching laces complete the look.
STONE ISLAND X NEW BALANCE RC ELITE ‘BURGUNDY/GREEN’ RELEASE INFORMATION
The next release from Italian apparel brand Stone Island and New Balance has not yet been announced for release, though we are expecting to see the RC Elite drop again in 2022. Dressed in dark burgundy with neon green accents and a cream inner lining, this look will be available from both NB and Stone, with the same price tag of $220. UPDATE 7/4/22: Stone Island and New Balance have slated their new colorways of the RC Elite V2 to release later this week, on July 8th, 2022. Available from both partners, the Burgundy/Lime and Rain Cloud/Energy Red styles will come with the same price tag of $220.
