Stone Island and New Balance have releases a number of performance running shoes as a part of their team-up, but soon they will move into lifestyle models, starting with the 574.

Stone Island and New Balance first announced their partnership early in 2021, before teaming up to release several signature colorways of the RC Elite V2, a high-end performance running shoe from the Boston footwear brand. Now, the two are exploring new outlets, which currently include a full soccer team kit and matching boots, as well as a special-edition 574 that finally emerged this week. Taking on Stone Island’s extensive knowledge of fabrics, this pair brings GORPcore to the retro model. The pair begins with an olive green ripstop base layer, adding olive green suede overlays to the toes, midfoot, and heels. Another shade of olive adorns the leather eyestays, while steel grey heel clips, ‘N’ logos, and heel counters add more to the palette. Yellow tongues feature the signature Stone Island patch at the top, while a fleece inner lining completes the look.

Stone Island and New Balance’s first foray into casual footwear has not been announced for release yet, though they are expected to arrive sometime in the coming months. Featuring a classic 574 model in olive tones, pairs will likely be available from both Stone and New Balance’s websites, with a raised price tag of at least $120.
