2020 is coming to a close, and so does Asics’ 30th-anniversary celebration of the GEL-Lyte III. Finishing the year strong, this week the brand unveiled its latest collaboration from SneakerLah and Hudnred%, paying homage to Kuala Lumpur’s Twin Towers.
The Asics GEL-Lyte III has had quite a year in 2020, as the shoe celebrates thirty years of being a mainstay in the brand’s lineup. As the year draws to an end, Asics has one last special project to release to round out the massive anniversary celebration, which seems them teaming up with Malaysian sneaker stores SneakerLah and Hundred% for a special take on the GEL-Lyte III inspired by Kuala Lumpur’s Twin Towers. This special-edition pair begins with a metallic silver mesh base layer, as well as metallic leather overlays for much of the upper, mimicking the metal facade of the towers. Black Asics logos are stitched to either side of the shoe, while a grey suede heel counter with bold green accents and dual branding to complete the look.

Asics 30th-anniversary-celebration of the GEL-Lyte III continues this week with a new collaboration from Malaysian retailers SneakerLah and Hundred, launching on December 4th, 2020 locally, followed by a global drop on December 19th. The silver metallic colorway will be available from all three partners for a price tag of $160.
