Converse’s All-Star Chuck 70 has been the canvas for dozens of special projects in recent months, but none have been kept under wraps like today’s release of the new Scooby-Doo x Converse collection, available now.

Now that I think about it, Converse and Scooby-Doo make a pretty great team. Both reached the height of their fame in the early 1970s as cultural phenomenons, albeit for very different reasons. However, their timing could not have been more similar, and it seems almost obvious that Velma, Shaggy, Fred, and Daphne would have certainly been wearing some Cons here and there throughout the years. So, it was a pleasant surprise today to discover the latest project from the two was readily available. Spread across two Chuck 70s, the project features two starkly contrasting colorways. The first pits the classic Chuck in a black canvas upper paired with an off-white midsole, laces, and rubber toe cap. The lateral side of the shoe features an embroidered patch of the entire Mystery Inc. gang, with Scooby sitting front and center. The second pair mimics the famous Mystery Machine, applying the vehicles ’70s color scheme and print to the Chuck’s canvas upper.
