Thirty years ago, Asics released the GEL-Lyte III, forever altering their status as an elite-tier running brand. Now, Ronnie Fieg is celebrating the legendary silhouette with 30 limited-edition colorways inspired by his previous projects, releasing tomorrow.

Asics has been celebrating the 30th anniversary of its famous GEL-Lyte III silhouette this year, tapping collaborators from around the world for special-edition releases. Among them were Ronnie Fieg and his Kith store, who first partnered up with Asics nine years ago, and has been releasing limited-edition product regularly ever since. For his first entry in the anniversary series, Fieg drafted three colorways of the classic runner for the “Tokyo Trio Pack”, which were immensely popular when they released over the Summer. Now, Ronnie and co. have surprised us with another anniversary edition of the Fieg GEL-Lyte III, this time not only celebrating the shoe but the brand’s relationship with Ronnie Fieg over the years. Pulling from Kith’s most-used colors over it’s nine-year history, thirty different shades were selected and arranged in a palette before being converted into a full-fledged lineup of thirty colorways of the GEL-Lyte IIi for its thirtieth anniversary. Plenty of classic Kith tones are in there, giving a chance for everyone to get something they enjoy. But be quick, according to Ronnie himself, only 300 pairs were made in each color, leaving the total stock count at only 9,000 pairs total.
