New balance’s 550 has seen a number of interesting collaborators since its initial retro release last year. Now, the Boston brand has tapped sports agent Rich Paul to deliver his take on the seminal silhouette, coming soon.

The New Balance 550 has been presented with an upscale flair to it since its reintroduction last year, largely due in part to Aimé Leon Dore’s hand in reviving the vintage model, and their penchant for quality. Now, as the 550 continues to grow and expand its popularity, New Balance is looking to create fresh versions of the shoe, teaming up with any interesting creatives along the way. This week, we got our first look at a 550 crafted by sports agent Rich Paul, the Klutch agent behind the deals of LeBron James, Draymond Green, Anthony Davis, and most recently, sitting court-side with Adele. Now, the world’s most lucrative sports agent is designing sneakers. His take on the 550 is reminiscent of the ALD pairs, constructed from premium perforated and pebbled leathers. The shoe is largely white, adding accents in navy and baby blue, while yellow New Balance branding completes the look.
