New Balance Numeric, the Boston brand’s skateboarding division, has been heating up this year, with plenty of new projects to back it up. This week, the burgeoning subdivision unveiled a new project with Primitive, reworking the 574 in premium Fall tones.

New Balance’s skate team, known simply as Numeric, has been growing steadily over the past few years, as the storied American manufacturer continues to add new models and high-profile skaters to the lineup. This week, the skateboarding subdivision unveiled a new project with Primitive Skate, which sees the Los Angeles-based board & apparel company reworking the classic 574 with premium materials and a smooth new color scheme. The look begins with a soft tan tone for the 574’s dense mesh base layer while matching suede overlays take over the mudguard, quarter panels, and lacing system. The heel counter and rear tab come in suede as well, but this time in charcoal grey and a goldenrod yellow, respectively. The New Balance ‘N’ stand out on either side in the same black & gold coloring, while a black speckled midsole completes the construction. Black primitive branding is embroidered along the toebox, along with co-branded tongue labels to round out the look.
