Alex James’ Pleasures is teaming up with Converse for an exciting new take on the classic Pro Leather. Taking inspiration from James’ time in the 80s & 90s Punk scenes, this exclusive release is decorated with a littany of Punk-inspired graphics.
Pleasures has been dominant with their loudly-branded pieces in the past few years, a field that has grown significantly thanks to the founder, Alex James, expressions of his past. Raised by the Punk movement of the 80s and 90s, James crafted a special-edition release inspired by his childhood. The Pro Leather’s black & white graphic uppers take their eye-catching looks from the street art Alex would see as a kid in New York and Los Angeles, and the affinity for graphic art he gained from it. From his own mouth, his take on the Converse Pro Leather is meant to represent the idea that each generation needs to teach the next about their own creative influences.

The upcoming Converse Pro Leather designed by Pleasure’s founder Alex James has been scheduled to release later this week, on November 22nd, 2019. The special release inspired by James’ experience with the Punk movement of the 80s and 90s will release from both partners as well as select retail accounts for just $110.
