Pigalle and Nike’s long-standing collaboration continues this year, though with a slight twist this time around. Instead of working directly with the Swoosh, the Parisian brand has tapped Converse to help promote their latest basketball court in Beijing.

The partnership between Paris’ Pigalle and Nike is ready for another release this year, following up on 2018’s futuristic take on NikeLab basketball gear. Now, the two are getting ready to promote the latest court they’ve built in Beijing, with new sneakers from Nike partner Converse to help convey the look of the new basketball court around the world.

This week, Pigalle has unveiled a new project with Converse to help promote the Parisian brand’s new Nike Basketball court in Beijing. The project includes two colorways of the Converse Chuck 70 Low, accompanied by Pigalle’s take on the recent All-Star BB and an apparel collection, both of which have not been seen as of yet. As for the Chuck 70s, they come in two new colorways and are constructed using Nike Grind technology, which recycles 45,000 pairs of shoes into brand new ones. The first colorway appears as a sort of gradient from heel to toe, fading from gold to royal blue with a lightning-like pattern printed across, and mounted on top of a pale green sole. The second pair is a more unique take on the classic canvas upper, adding small hints of color around the details, as well as an embroidered lightning pattern.

Pigalle’s colorful iterations of the Converse Chuck Chuck 70 Low have been announced for release later this month on November 7th, 2019.  The high-profile collaboration will likely up the retail price above $100 for both pairs, and release from both Pigalle and select Converse retailers.
