Patta and Nike’s Air Max 1 Waves continues to surface in new colorways, despite having released four colorways to the public last year. Now, the Dutch brand’s co-founder has teased a new ‘Blaze Orange’ style, potentially releasing this year.

The last we saw of famed Dutch brand Patta and Nike, they were finishing off a run of releases of the excellent Air Max 1 “Waves”, or so we thought. Released in a total of four colorways last year, a second new style has emerged this week courtesy of Patta co-founder Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt, which colors the unique version of the AM1 in a ‘Blaze Orange’ color scheme. The look begins with a with a cement grey mesh base layer, adding the rustic orange tone throughout the Air Max 1’s upper. The Swooshes are outlines in white, matching the tiny embroidered version seen on the outside of the toes. Standard orange laces hold the upper together, while a pink inner lining and bright blue upper eyelets complete the look.

The next release of Patta and Nike’s Air Max 1 has not yet been announced for release, though we could see them drop sometime this Summer. The striking ‘Blaze Orange’ color scheme will likely release first from the Dutch retailer, as always followed by potential releases from Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers. Check out the mock-up and on foot photos of the new pair for a better look, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more Nike release news.

UPDATE 8/8/22: Patta has officially unveiled their ‘The Next Wave’ collection with Nike, led by the Dark Russett colorway of the Nike Air Max 1. Launching from Patta’s website on August 12th, we expect to see a wider release via the SNKRS app and select retailers in the coming weeks.

UPDATE 7/29/22: Official images of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 in brown have surfaced online, indicating a release is imminent. Some rumors point to a release on August 22nd, though we are awaiting Nike’s official word before anything is set in stone .

UPDATE 7/18/22: New images of the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 in Blaze Orange surfaced last week, giving us a better look at the new colorway and it’s packaging. Sporting a new ‘Each One Teach One’ mantra on the box and a new hangtag, we can expect the story behind the recently emerging color schemes to slightly differ from the previous ‘Waves’ releases.
