Patta and Nike are back with another edition of their Air Max 1 ‘Waves’, which we last saw in a simple black and white look, has now surfaced in a Summer-ready ‘Neutral Grey’ look, rumored to release soon.
The last we saw of famed Dutch brand Patta and Nike, they were finishing off a run of releases of the excellent Air Max 1 “Waves”, or so we thought. Released in a total of four colorways last year, a fresh new style has emerged this week courtesy of Patta co-founder Edson Sabajo. Shared via his Instagram page in an on-foot photo, the latest iteration of the AM1 Waves is dressed in the fan-favorite ‘Neutral Grey’ color scheme, recently seen in the form of several Air Jordan 1s, Dunks, and Air Forces. The Patta version begins with a pale grey mesh base layer, adding crisp white leather for the shoe’s signature overlays. The edges of the leather pieces are tinged yellow, giving the shoe an aged quality. Pale grey swooshes adorn the midfoot and toe box, while a sail-toned midsole rounds out the new look.
PATTA X NIKE AIR MAX 1 ‘METALLIC SILVER’ RELEASE INFORMATION
The next release of Patta and Nike’s Air Max 1 has not yet been announced for release, though we could see them drop sometime this Summer. The clean white and grey color scheme will likely release first from the Dutch retailer, as always followed by potential releases from Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers. Check out the mock-up and on foot photos of the new pair for a better look, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more Nike release news.
UPDATE 8/8/22: Patta has officially unveiled ‘The Next Wave’ of their Nike Air Max 1 project, which consists of two colorways, Dark Russett, and Metallic Silver. The two pairs are set to launch on August 12th, 2022, from the Patta website with a wider release likely to follow.
