Paria Farzaneh shared her upcoming 2021 collection in Amersham, U.K. this week, showing off the new products for the coming year. Among this lineup was an eye-catching take on the Converse Pro Leather X2, rumored to be releasing later this year.

Designer Paria Farzaneh and Converse have reunited for another special-edition release after their collaboration featuring the All-Star Chuck Taylor from 2019. The young Iranian designer is bringing the same intricate detailing to her latest work, this time focusing on another vintage basketball silhouette, the Pro Leather X2. Incorporating Middle Eastern aesthetics and design elements, this take on the high-top hoop shoe is unlike anything we’ve seen from the brand recently. The new look starts with an oversized sole unit with rugged traction, supporting a split upper made from a combination of buttery tumbled leather and paisley-printed mesh paneling, while optional lace jewels and a few colors of lacing complete the look.
