AURALEE Teases the New Balance T500 For FW25

Japanese fashion label AURALEE has been on a tear with their New Balance collaborations for the past few years. This week during their Paris runway show, the label showed off another project coming later this year, two colors of the T500 trainer.

The relationship between AURALEE and New Balance grows stronger with each seasonal collection from the Japanese brand. Every runway show for the past few years has teased us with a fresh release from the Boston footwear maker, usually showing us whats in store nearly a year ahead of the official release. Currently, we are still waiting on their 475 pack to hit shelves, but this week they’ve already shown off whats next.

The next-in-line project from AURALEE and New Balance will highlight the T500 trainer as their FW25 footwear. Originally released in 1982 as a performance tennis shoe, the silhouette is currently on a retro from NB as a simple, and affordable option with classic appeal. The upper does not feature prominent complicated patterns, making the T500 a timeless look. AURALEE’s interpretation will come in two colorways, white and brown, both featuring a suede construction with some smooth leather accents.

There is no official release information yet for the next AURALEE x New Balance sneaker release, though this project is expected to release in Fall/Winter 2025. Formula 1 is having a moment in the footwear world right now, with PUMA producing a number of officially licensed projects in recent years. in 2025, Mercedes-AMG is striking out on their own, teaming up with adidas for a “Turbo” pink Superstar this Summer.

Formula 1 has had a special relationship to the world of footwear since the late ’90s. Then, PUMA engineered a special shoe specifically for F1 drivers, which would later release to the public as the Speedcat. Now, as F1 continues to rise in popularity, teams are striking out on their own for officially licensed collaborations. Mercedes-AMB PETRONAS, the former team of Lewis Hamilton, have partnered with adidas for their releases, which are expected to begin this Summer.

Early this month, adidas announced their entrance into the world of Formula 1 racing through a partnership with Mercedes-AMG, bringing the brand’s iconic logo and styles to sneakers and apparel. Already, we have an early look at one of their first releases as partners, which features the Superstar. This release applies the PETRONAS signature “Turbo” pink shade to the silhouette, with black accents and silver branding to complete the look.

MERCEDES-AMG X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR “TURBO” RELEASE INFORMATION

The debut release from the new Mercedes-AMG x adidas partnership has not been announced officially yet, but is expected to release in Summer 2025. The “Turbo” pink Superstar will be available from both adidas and select retailers, with an expected price tag of $140.

HOKA has taken over the world of athleisure footwear in the last few years. Their high-end running shoes have permeated into every day walking styles, and now, they are joining in on the formal sneaker trend with the Speed Loafer.

HOKA exploded onto the footwear scene several years ago, introducing a new era of data and science-driven footwear design. Founded in France in 2009 by former Salmon employees, the original goal was to craft a performance shoe for faster downhill running. Their use of excessive cushioning and stability made them popular with ultramarathon runners, before disseminating to the wider running world thanks largely to their lightweight cushioning.

Now, HOKA offers a wide variety of shoes for road running, trail running, and race running, as well as recovery slides. This year, they are taking their first steps into non-performance shoes with the new Speed Loafer. The brand new model is an interesting twist for the French brand, taking the upper from a loafer and applying it to the chunky and intricate midsole tooling from the SpeedGoat 5. Dressed in all black, other details include suede mudguards, custom “speed” tassels at the tongue, and a full Vibram outsole.

HOKA SPEED LOAFER RELEASE INFORMATION

HOKA has not yet announced a set date for the release of their new loafer/running shoe hybrid, but currently have the Speed Loafer listed as “coming soon” on their website. The hybrid model will be available direct from the French brand for $185.

Infinite Archives is teaming up with Jordan Brand this year, to release their take on the iconic Air Jordan 17 in a handful of colors. This week, we got our first look at the shoes via the brand’s founder during Paris Fashion Week.

Infinite Archives is an internet archive of all things pop culture spanning the last few decades. Scrolling through their Instagram feed, you’ll find posts about music, movies, art, sports, cars, fashion, and most importantly, sneakers. They have even branched out into making their own products in recent years, which are stocked by retailers like A Ma Maniére and many more. This week, they have finally revealed their upcoming Jordan Brand collaboration, featuring the AJ17 Low.

This week is Paris Fashion Week, which means all kinds of brands are showing up and showing off their next big collections and special releases. Isimeme “Easy” Otabor, the founder of Infinite Archives, was spotted at an event sporting his upcoming Air Jordan 17 Low, before showing off a more detailed photo himself. The pair comes dressed in a subtle “Beach” off-white color for the upper, with the inner working of the shoe constructed in plain back. Flashes of bright purple makeup the midsole and a small tag on the collar to complete the look.
