The Air Jordan 4 RM Gets a “Motorsport” Look in 2025

Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan 4 RM model, the first-ever low-top version of the 4, has been a staple of their releases for the last year. This week, we got an official look at a new “Motorsport” style, coming soon.

Jordan Brand’s push of the Jordan 4 RM model is one of their strongest product launches in recent years, going all in on the new design. They kicked things off with a Nigel Sylvester collaboration, and have followed up with a huge assortment of colors for the modified 4, with plenty more still on the way for the rest of 2025. This week, we have an early look at one of those styles, a fresh take on the “Motorsport” palette.

The original Air Jordan 4 Motorsport in 2006 was a special style crafted for his own motorsport team, which he founded in ’04 through his love of motorcycles. Now, the new Jordan 4 RM is getting a fresh take on the motorsport look this year. The new style features a white base for the upper, adding its plastic cage in a cool grey shade. The toes feature a charcoal grey suede with red stitching, while bold motorsport-inspired branding on the tongues completes the look.

Nike has a knack for sourcing exciting new collaborators for special projects. This week, Steven Julien, founder of the UK’s Apron Records, showed off their take on the Air 180, coming soon.

Apron Records has become a powerhouse label in the United Kingdom since its founding back in 2014. This week, Apron unveiled their next big step in their merchandising arm, which will see them team up with Nike to release a special-edition pair of the Air 180 retro. Their take on the iconic model comes in a Dark Atomic Teal tone, which is spread across leather and shaggy suede paneling int he upper. Swooshes and heel counters come in a snakeskin texture, with chrome heel clips and Apron branding to complete the look.

The Hidden Opponent x adidas UltraBoost 1.0 Available Now

adidas is celebrating ten years of the original Ultraboost this year, and has some special releases planned for the occasion. This week, a new pair from mental health advocacy group The Hidden Opponent quietly released, and is available now.

adidas has found a new collaborative partner in the mental health advocacy group The Hidden Opponent recently. The group is focused on providing mental health resources to student athletes, and has teamed up with adidas before to spread awareness of their cause. Their first project was a simple hoodie, but now, they are stepping into footwear for the first time with a new style of the Ultraboost 1.0, featuring their signature lime green color.

The Hidden Opponent x adidas Ultraboost 1.0 is a relatively simple take on the now-iconic running shoe, but adds some wonderful details to make this a perfect Spring and Summer look. The model features a cream white Primeknit upper paired with a white Boost sole and gum outsoles. The Three Stripes feature a collegiate green shade printed on top with a lime green pattern etched in. The same lime green appears on the heel cup as well as the inner lining, with a green ribbon loop at the rear to complete the look.

Nike Air Max Waffle in “Hyper Blue” Releases in March

Nike’s new hybrid silhouette of two iconic technologies, the Air Max Waffle, is finally here. This week, they’ve announced the release of another color scheme early next month, dressing the shoe in a “Hyper Blue” palette.

Last year, Nike debuted a surprising new hybrid sneaker, which combined their classic Waffle running shoe with the more technical Air Max Tuned technology. Dubbed the Air Max Waffle, the model launched in November, and delivers a good-looking mix of two styles from very different eras of Swoosh innovation. Now, the silhouette is back in 2025 with new colorways for Spring.

The latest new look for the Air Max Waffle is set to arrive in March, and sticks with the colorful styles that have dominated its releases so far. The silhouette’s nylon upper comes in a bright “Hyper Blue” shade, which is paired with a metallic gold accent for the Swooshes and heel tabs. Black suede frames the shoe along the toes and heels, with an off-white midsole underneath, which hides mismatched blue and red Air bags.

Asics has upgraded another retro silhouette for this year with the GEL-Nimbus 10.1. After some initial collaborations and limited projects, their in-line offerings for Spring 2025 have started to arrive, including this “Rainy Lake” pair, available now.

Asics has kicked off their Spring season this week with a refresh of new colorways for some of their most popular SportStyle silhouettes. Their focus on repurposing retro runners has expanded the lifestyle options dramatically in recent years, furthering the hype around the dad trend and vintage styling. Among their new releases are some fresh takes on the GEL-Nimbus 10.1, a 2008 model revamped for today.

The GEL-Nimbus 10.1’s asymmetrical design originally released in ’08, and was crafted to mimic and support the foot’s natural bone structure. Now repurposed for casual wear, the 10.1 has been popping up in some excellent colors since its return last year. This week, a new “Rainy Lake” style has landed, giving the silhouette a palette dominated by a fresh Spring shade of green. This is paired with white mesh, metallic silver, and a bit of beige to complete the look.

size? Teases Their Exclusive New Balance 2002R Protection Pack

size? is cooking up another exclusive release with New Balance this season, following up on their “Bacon” 860v2 from last year. This time, the 2002R Protection Pack model is their canvas, coming in three colors this Spring.

New Balance’s “Protection” series of the 2002R was so immensely popular after its initial release that the rough-edged version became a seasonal staple for the last four years. Also known as “Refined Future”, the jagged cuts even found their way onto the 1906R when that model made its debut in 2022. Now, New Balance is handing over the reins to their frequent collaborator, London’s size? to create their own three colorways of the fan-favorite model.

size? is one of the best and most prolific collaborators in the world of sneakers. The London-based retailer is constantly putting out new exclusive releases, keeping their releases fairly minimal by not going too crazy with added details, instead opting for new original color schemes. For their take on the 2002R Protection pack, they’ve drafted three new styles of the silhouette in neutral colors. The first gives the retro runner an all-silver makeover, while the second comes almost entirely in black with hints of grey. The third style features several different shades of brown across the layered upper. All three pairs are united by butter yellow laces on top.

SIZE? X NEW BALANCE 2002R PROTECTION PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

London retailer size? has not yet announced the release of their exclusive New Balance 2002R Protection Pack colors, but they are expected to arrive sometime in Spring 2025. Coming in black, silver, and brown colorways, pairs will be exclusive to size? stores and online, and are likely to come with a price tag around $160.

The Air Force 1 Low Canvas “Linen” Releases in Canvas in March

Nike is rolling out their iconic “Linen” Air Force 1 again this year, after the shoe released last Summer as a part of their Cult Classics series. This time around, the beloved style is swapping out the leather upper for a simple canvas build.

The “Linen” style of the Air Force 1 originated in 2001, when it was released as a part of Nike’s Co.JP line, exclusive to Japan. The colorway remained an all-time AF1 grail for years until it appeared as a special release for Kith’s Miami store opening in 2016. Then, the model finally got a global release last year, bringing the fan-favorite colorway to the masses in time for the Summer.

This week, news of another Linen AF1 release has come across our timelines, as well as some early photos of the updated style. This time, the shoe is getting a canvas construction for the upper, ditching the usual supple leather in favor of a more lightweight material. The Swooshes still come in a soft pink leather, and this release is expected to be accompanied by a matching pair of the Air Max 1.

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW CANVAS “LINEN” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s rerelease of the iconic “Linen” Air Force 1 has not been announced yet, but is expected to release later this month on March 20th, 2025. The soft tan and pink color scheme will likely be available from both Nike and select retailers for $130.

BAPE has found another new footwear partner to team up with this year, bringing their classic Ape camouflage pattern to the Crocs Classic Clog in three colorways, complete with plenty of Jibbitz charms.

BAPE and Crocs are both two of the most prolific collaborators in their respective spaces. BAPE has been teaming up with a huge variety of brands for tons of limited-edition product over the last twenty years, and Crocs has become the go-to brand for licensing intellectual property to release in sneaker form. The team-up between the two was inevitable, and their debut release launches this week.

Taking on the Classic Clog as their silhouette of choice, the OG Crocs model, BAPE has applied their signature Ape camouflage pattern to the shoe in three different color schemes, pink, blue, and classic green & brown. March typically marks the start of releases for Spring and Summer colors from sneaker brands, and Asics is already on top of it with their latest releases. Today, the GEL-Nimbus 10.1 landed in a fresh “Truffle Grey” color scheme.

Asics’ GEL family of sneakers has been a huge source of inspiration for the Japanese brand in recent years, used as a platform to revive some past hits and engineer brand new models. Last year, the 2008 GEL-Nimbus 10.1 made its debut, updating the icon with new tooling borrowed from the Kayano 14, another current fan-favorite model. The 10.1 has been a steady piece of their arsenal in the months since, with new style surfacing every few weeks.

Today, Asics has launched their latest batch of colors for the GEL-Nimbus 10.1, which updated the color palettes for Spring 2025. Among the new pairs is a stunning “Truffle Grey” palette, which features a mix of beige and grey tones for the shoe’s mixed mesh base layer. adidas’ Feet You Wear line has seen a lot of love from the brand in the last six years. Then, they began to release proper retros of running and basketball shoes featuring the FYW, which continues this year with the Intimidation.

The Intimidation is poised for a big year in 2025, with the current push for in-line colors and a HAL Studios collaboration on the way. This week, adidas quietly dropped a fresh colorway of the retro basketball shoe, dressing the model’s mesh upper and midsole in a soft “Ivory” white color. adidas’ Gazelle Indoor Joins the Made in Italy Program

0

Last year, adidas introduced a new Made in Italy program, which elevated the iconic Samba with luxurious materials and a handmade construction. Now, the Gazelle Indoor is getting the special treatment, debuting next week.

In recent years, sneaker brands have begun to follow New Balance’s lead, creating new specialty manufacturing programs to deliver upscale versions of iconic silhouette. Jordan Brand did this with their China-exclusive Wings series, and adidas has done this with several Samba and Superstar releases from factories in Italy and Germany. This week, another classic is joining the Made in Italy program; the Gazelle Indoor.

adidas’ new Made in Italy take on the Gazelle Indoor gives the shoe an ultra-premium makeover, with some slight tweaks to the design that give it the appearance of a dress shoe. The upper comes in matte black leather with smooth suede toe caps, and is mounted on top of a revised midsole unit that resembles a chunky formal silhouette.
