Kith x adidas Football SS25 Collection Releases This Week

0

Kith and adidas frequently collaborate on fresh releases, but one of their staples, the Football collections, have been notably absent in recent years. Ronnie and co. are amending that this season, with a vast selection of shoes and apparel for its SS25 return.

It has been seven years since Ronnie Fieg’s Kith and adidas Football teamed up to reimagine footwear and apparel from the pitch. Back in 2018, the two created a massive collection of both footwear and apparel that pulled from a wide range of sources as their inspiration, with footwear combining iconic field styles with more everyday elements like new midsoles. Now, the project returns for Spring/Summer 2025, with a new collection of shoes and gear.

The new wave of sneakers from Kith’s adidas football line once again bridges sport and lifestyle, combining uppers from iconic Three Stripes boots with more casual midsoles. In total, the collection is comprised of four different styles, with a total of nine different colorways. It is quite a lot to get through, so let’s dig right in.

The flagship piece of this new collection is the cleats, made specifically, and only, for wear on grass and turf fields; the Predator Mania. The boot features a Kith box logo print on the tongues, and comes in two colorways, black or white, both featuring colorful accents. Next up is the Predator Megaride, the premier casual wear shoe from the project. This look takes an upper from the Predator family and combines it with adidas’ Megaride tech, a 2004 midsole system that is back in style this year. This shoe also comes in two colorways, an all-white style with light blue accents, or a lush green suede paired with off-white.

The final two silhouettes in the new series are the simplest, and the most affordable sneakers in the SS25 collection. First up, the Koresco National, a performance cleat from the early 2000s known for its swooping Three Stripes and quilted leather upper. The Kith version replaces the spikes underfoot with a simple rubber and gum sole unit, and is available in three colors; black, white, and green. Finally, the Predator 2002 IC, which brings adidas’ beloved LightStrike cushioning to the Predator series, and comes in either red or white colorways.

Kyle Ng’s Brain Dead has produced come wild and kooky projects through their partnership with adidas. The most unique release came last Summer, when the two teamed up to create a limited edition bowling shoe to pair with one of their seasonal collections. In a first for adidas, the Bowling model is an actual, usable shoe in an alley, with slides in the forefoot and a gripper heel section like you would find in a standard rental. The shoe featured asymmetrical colorways, and were available in ultra-limited numbers through a pop-up event.

This week, Dover Street Market has joined in on the bowling fun, lending their name and signature all-black look to the latest pair of the Brain Dead x adidas collaboration. This pair will actually see a release, too, avialable through DSM this week. Brain Dead x adidas Forest Hills Pack Coming in April

Brain Dead first joined forces with adidas last Summer, teaming up to create an ultra-limited edition bowling shoe. Now, they are back for their first project of 2025, which gives the Forest Hills a colorful shaggy suede makeover.

Los Angeles design brand Brain Dead has grown their arsenal of sneaker collaborations steadily over the last few years. They started with a handful of releases from Reebok with some Vans project sprinkled in, and debuted a new partnership with adidas last Summer through a specially-designed bowling shoe release. They followed with an assortment of Stan Smith styles, and now, they are teasing a new release for Spring 2025.

Brain Dead’s eclectic, colorful style returns to new adidas releases this season. This time around, they are adding their touch to the Forest Hills. The model originally released in 1976 and pays homage to the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens, New York, home of a former US Open-hosting stadium. New Balance’s 2010 in “Vintage Khaki” Debuts in April

0

The last few weeks have brought us a number of early looks at an upcoming New Balance silhouette; the 2010. This week, we have our first official look at an in-line color scheme, in Vintage Khaki, coming soon.

New Balance’s rise to popularity over the last several years has been a welcome surprise, as their comfortable sneakers draw on over 100 years of design history. The Boston brand has revived a number of older models along the way, as well as introducing new styles that are built upon their decades of footwear knowledge. This week, another one of these retro-inspired designs has officially surfaced, the 2010, coming this year.

The upcoming 2010 model from New Balance is an interesting new addition to their lifestyle lineup. While similar new releases have focused on slim ’70s running styles, like the 471, the 2010 appears to have more in common with the 99x family. The shoe’s layering and shape for the upper are similar to various models from the 99x family tree, but the midsole appears to be a brand new design, with prominent cushioning pods in the heels.

With collaborations from Kith and Rich Paul in the works, today we have our first official images of a “Vintage Khaki” color scheme. This pair features a lush green mesh for the shoe’s base layers, adding its mid layer paneling in a dark, chocolate brown shade. The outer nubuck overlays come in the aged khaki shade, while dark grey soles and silver N logos complete the look.

NEW BALANCE 2010 “VINTAGE KHAKI” RELEASE INFORMATION

New Balance has not yet announced the debut of their 2010 silhouette, but pairs are expected to begin rolling out soon, in Spring 2025. Seen here in a clean “Vintage Khaki” style with green and brown tones, pairs will be available from both New Balance and select retailers. No pricing information is available yet.

Nike Brings a Woven Build to the Field General

0

Nike returned the Field General to their catalog last year, in its original 1982 form. The model has continued to be a boon in their arsenal as a sleek, fashionable, and affordable model. This week, we have an early look at a new woven style, coming soon.

The Field General was an interesting addition to Nike’s arsenal when they issued the first retro colorways last year. Originally released as a performance silhouette for quarterbacks in 1982, the model has gone on to inspired plenty of newer models, most notably Tom Sachs’ GPS sneaker from a few years back. Now, with a handful of standard colors already available, new styles have emerged for 2025.

Nike’s releases of their Field General retro have been relatively tame so far, giving the shoe simple, classic looks in addition to a collaboration with Union. This Summer, the Swoosh is giving the model a new twist, using woven textiles to upgrade the low-top trainer for Summer. The look features a mix of pale pink and white tones for the herringbone weave pattern, adding overlay panels in a soft khaki shade.

NIKE FIELD GENERAL ’82 “WOVEN” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s next release of the retro Field General 82 has not been officially scheduled yet, but is expected to land on shelves sometime in Summer 2025. The “Pearl White” model with khaki accents will be releasing from both Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers for $110.

Nike Celebrates The Netherland’s King’s Day with the Air Max 1

Each Spring, on April 27th, The Netherlands celebrates the birthday of its monarch during Koningsdag, or “King’s Day”. This year, Nike has crafted a special pair of the Air Max 1 for the occasion.

The Air Max 1 has been held in high esteem by the European market for decades, remaining one of the favorite Nike silhouettes across the continent. This year, Nike is releasing a special-edition pair of the retro runner to celebrate The Netherland’s “King’s Day” holiday, which honors the birthday of their king or queen. The new style comes mainly in orange, the official traditional color of the Dutch royal family. The new look features a faded orange mesh for the base, adding most of its overlays in Cacao Wow brown. Bright shades of orange appear on the Swooshes and laces, with a more dull, brown shade for the accent panels and split pieces of the mudguard.

The Nike Air Max Craze “Bright Citrus” Returns in April 2025

Nike’s archives are filled with thousands of unique silhouettes from their fifty year history, some of which are absolutely wild in their construction. Next year, one of these models, the Air Max Craze, is expected to appear in its first ever retro release.

In 2000, Nike introduced the Alpha Project, a series of incredibly unique new silhouettes that pushed the boundaries of performance footwear at the time. The most famous silhouette from the project is likely the Air Presto, known for its adaptable uppers and tee shirt sizing range. The Alpha series also contains a few wild gems, like the Air Max Craze, a model that blends visible Air tech with a Huarache-like upper and minimal heels. This week, news of the shoe’s return broke, though they are not expected to arrive until sometime in 2025. The silhouette features a patterned upper with grids, wavy lines, and colorful accents, but perhaps the most notable piece is the absence of a true heel construction. Instead, there is a single heel counter pad held in place by two rubberized support pieces that attach to the midsole.

NIKE AIR MAX CRAZE RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s next retro from their Air Max line, the Craze, has not been officially announced for release yet, and has not been seen in any new colors, but is expected to return sometime in 2025. Celebrating the wild shoe’s twenty-fifth anniversary, the Alpha Project model will likely be a quickstrike release, available through the SNKRS app and select retailers.

Andrew Reynolds Debuts His New Balance 933 signature Shoe

0

Ever had that moment where a sneaker drop feels personal? Like it’s not just a shoe, but a story you’ve been following for years? That’s the deal with the New Balance Numeric x Andrew Reynolds 933, hitting shelves April 28, 2025. If you’re a sneakerhead, a New Balance fan, or someone who’s watched Andrew Reynolds redefine skateboarding for decades, this one’s gonna hit different. Let’s lace up and dive into why the 933 is about to become your new obsession.

A Legend’s Vision in Sneaker Form

Andrew Reynolds isn’t just a skater—he’s a blueprint. Three decades in the game, and he’s still out there, grinding with the same passion as day one. The 933 is his signature model, and you can feel his fingerprints all over it. This isn’t some slapped-together collab; it’s a shoe born from Reynolds’ obsessive attention to detail. He tweaked and tested it like he’d refilm a single trick until it’s perfect. Why? Because at 40-plus, the wrong shoe doesn’t just hurt your feet—it messes with your whole vibe. Ever felt that ache after a long day in the wrong kicks? Yeah, Reynolds gets it.

The result? A skate shoe that’s got his stamp—and New Balance’s, too. It’s built to keep you skating with that youthful spark, no matter your age. When a legend like Reynolds says, “Why not make something that helps me skate longer?” you know it’s serious.

Tech That Skates as Hard as You Do

Here’s where New Balance Numeric flexes their muscle. The 933 isn’t just about looks—it’s packed with tech that makes it a beast on the board. The ABZORB midsole’s a standout, with two foam densities molded together without glue. Translation? You get crazy comfort underfoot plus sidewall support when you’re pulling aggressive lateral moves. It’s like having a shock absorber and a bodyguard in one.

What else is cooking? Check this out:

  • Dual-density ABZORB core: Cushions your landings, no matter how gnarly.
  • TPU mid-foot shank: Keeps your arches happy during long sessions.
  • NDurance rubber outsole: Grips like nobody’s business.
  • Adhered toecap: Built to survive your flick.
  • FantomFit tech: Locks in your foot for precision.
  • Controlled Reaction Device: Cradles your heel like it’s royalty.
  • Width-sizing: Because one-size-fits-all is a myth.

It’s the kind of shoe that makes you wanna hit the park just to test it out. Honestly, when’s the last time a sneaker made you feel that ready to roll?

Why the 933 Feels Like a Big Deal

I’ll admit, I wondered if the hype was overblown at first. Skate shoes drop all the time, right? But the 933’s different—it’s got soul. Reynolds isn’t some rookie chasing clout; he’s the guy who’s shaped skate culture. As Tyrone Romero, Numeric’s Senior Marketing Manager, put it, giving him a signature shoe is “a complete honor.” And New Balance didn’t just phone it in. They took the DNA of their iconic 990—think performance and timeless style—and morphed it into a skate shoe that’s built to last.

Jeff Mikut, Numeric’s Creative Design Manager, nailed it: the 933 is about skating longer, standing out, and being better than the rest. It’s not just a shoe; it’s a promise to keep pushing. Doesn’t that vibe just make you wanna grab a board and go?

New Balance Numeric’s Secret Sauce

If you’re deep into New Balance, you know Numeric’s been killing it since 2013. They’re not trying to reinvent the wheel—just make the best skate shoes possible. By borrowing tech like ABZORB and FantomFit from NB’s running lineup, they’re giving skaters an edge without losing that classic feel. The 933’s a perfect example: it’s got all the bells and whistles, but it still feels like something you’d see on the streets in ’95. That mix of old-school and cutting-edge? Pure New Balance.

Plus, there’s something cool about a brand that’s stayed independent since 1906. They’re not chasing trends—they’re setting them. And with factories still humming in New England and the UK, you know they’re serious about quality. It’s the kind of thing that makes you proud to rock their logo.

How to Cop and What’s Next

The New Balance Numeric x Andrew Reynolds 933 drops April 28, 2025, on NewBalance.com for $129.99. Select skate shops will have pairs available on April 25. Visual assets are floating around which you can view below, and trust me, this thing looks as good in photos as it will on your feet.

New Balance Numeric 933 “Wheat”
Release Date: April 25, 2025 (Skate Shops)
Release Date: April 28, 2025 (New Balance)
Style Code: NM933MNO
Price: $130

What’s next? If Reynolds and Numeric are this dialed-in, I’d bet we’ll see more heat down the line—maybe new colorways or another skater’s signature model. For now, I’m just stoked to see the 933 hit the scene. Spring’s all about new energy, and what better way to channel it than with a shoe that’s got legend status baked in?

Vans Shoes Skate Into the Battle Royale Spotlight

0

Ever get that spark when something you love IRL pops up in your favorite game? Like, one minute you’re grinding kickflips in your Vans, and the next, they’re styling your Fortnite avatar. That’s the energy today, April 14, 2025, as Vans drops their iconic kicks into Fortnite’s ever-growing shoe game. We’re talking Old Skool, Slip-Ons, and more joining the Kicks lineup. Sure, Fortnite’s been flexing sneakers with other brands for a minute, but this Vans collab? It’s got a vibe all its own. Let’s break it down.

Why Vans Kicks Feel Like a Victory Royale

Vans is sliding into Fortnite with some heavy hitters, led by the Premium Old Skool in Crystal Blue/Gum. If you caught the buzz in February, this colorway’s part of Vans’ Music Collection—a love letter to their skate and music roots. Think crisp blue vibes with a gum sole that just pops. Now, those same kicks are in the Item Shop, ready to level up your skin’s swagger. And it’s not just the Old Skool—you’ve got the Checkerboard Slip-On in Black/Off White, the Authentic in Red, and the Sk8-Hi in Navy Blue. Pure Vans DNA, digitized.

What makes this drop stand out? Fortnite’s been serving Kicks since last November, teaming up with big names to bring real-world sneakers into the game. But Vans brings something extra—call it soul. These aren’t just shoes; they’re icons. The Old Skool’s been on skaters’ feet since the ‘70s, the Slip-On’s a streetwear staple. Seeing them alongside other brand collabs in Fortnite feels like your favorite band headlining a stacked festival. Oh, and that Crystal Blue Old Skool? You can cop it IRL at vans.com right now. Match your avatar’s fit with your own—how’s that for flexing?

Fortnite’s Sneaker Obsession Keeps Growing

Let’s be real: Fortnite’s Kicks system is a game-changer. Since it kicked off, we’ve seen all sorts of brands lace up the Battle Royale, from hypebeast grails to sporty classics. It’s like the Item Shop’s become a digital sneaker boutique. Why’s it such a big deal? Because shoes aren’t just cosmetics—they’re you. Ever spent way too long picking the perfect pair to match your fit? That’s the energy Kicks bring, letting you dial in your style down to the soles.

This Vans drop, live through April 22nd, fits right into that wave. You’re getting four legendary styles, with more colorways teased to come. Follow

So, What’s the Big Deal About Vans?

I’ll level with you—when I heard about another Kicks collab, I wondered if it’d just blend into the noise. Fortnite’s already got a closet full of dope sneakers, right? But then I saw those Checkerboard Slip-Ons in-game, and it hit me: Vans isn’t just another brand. They’re the OGs of “Off the Wall” culture—skateboarding, punk shows, street art. That’s the same free-spirited chaos Fortnite thrives on, whether you’re emoting after a snipe or building a fort that defies physics. This collab feels like two best friends linking up to throw the ultimate party.

Plus, Vans gets the assignment. They’re not just tossing in random designs; they’re curating kicks that scream personality. The Sk8-Hi’s high-top swagger, the Authentic’s low-key cool—it’s all deliberate. And in a game where every detail’s a chance to stand out, that matters. Don’t you just love when a brand gets it?

From Skate Parks to Digital Drops

Vans jumping into Fortnite isn’t a one-off stunt. They’ve been flirting with gaming culture for a while, but this feels like their boldest step yet. Why? Because Fortnite’s not just a game—it’s a cultural hub. Your little brother’s dropping in after school, your friend’s streaming squads on Twitch, and yeah, maybe you’re sneaking a match during lunch. Vans sees that and says, “Bet, let’s meet you there.” It’s less about selling shoes and more about vibing with a generation that lives online as much as off.

Sneaker culture and gaming have weirdly similar DNA, too. Both are about rarity, hype, exclusivity. Scoring limited Kicks in Fortnite? That’s the digital version of copping a hyped drop at a skate shop. Vans leaning into that overlap is straight-up clever. Makes you wonder what’s next—maybe some wild in-game skatepark event?

Nigo’s “Black Croc” Nike Air Force 3 Releases in April

0

Nigo began teasing his next Nike release earlier this month, featuring a crisp all-white colorway for the Air Force 3. This week, the second pair from the pack has emerge featuring a black, white, and chrome palette.

Nigo first announced his collaborative partnership with Nike about two years ago now, in 2023. The Japanese designer and founder of BAPE did not release his first project until a year and a half later, in Fall 2024, which features a fairly unconventional choice of sneaker, the Air Force 3. Originally released in 1988, the AF3 never quite had the same public appeal as the original, and was shelved in the Nike archive for years. Now, Nigo has released a handful of colors over the past six months, and is preparing for another round of styles this month.

When Nigo first teased his all-white and gold edition of the Nike Air Force 3 a few weeks ago, the logical assumption was that it would be paired with a matching neutral look, and it has finally surfaced today. Taking on the same construction of textured animal leathers, mostly croc and snakeskin, this pair features a nearly all-black build, adding white Swooshes and midsoles. The ornaments and heel counters on this look come in a metallic chrome silver finish, with additional laces, pines, and patches to dress it up as you see fit.
