Jordan Brand’s Session Lifestyle Shoe Releases Summer 2025

0

Jordan Brand has been leaning into the lifestyle side of sneakers recently, after years of mainline retro models taking up that space. This Summer, they will release the Session, a simple new shoe that is part skate shoe, part trainer.

Jordan Brand made its mark on the world with performance basketball sneakers, the mainline product which is turning forty years old in 2025. Along the way, the Nike sub-label has branched out into a variety of sports, mainly football, baseball, and recently golf, either transforming beloved silhouettes or drafting entirely new ones for different athletes’ needs. Recently, they have started to introduce lifestyle sneakers to satisfy those outside of the sneaker world, with options like the Flight Court and Jordan 4 RM already out in the world.

This week, Jordan showed off their next entry in their casual sneaker series; the Session. The new model has mane panels and layers ripe for color blocking, but hides a simple silhouette inspired by low-top skate shoes. Seen here in its black & Phantom white colorways, both pairs features a largely suede construction, with some leather panels added for extra support and durability. The shoe appears to feature a cupsole for a more natural feel, and heavy duty rubber soles for longevity.

SGA Debuts His Converse SHAI 001 in “Ares Grey”

0

During the NBA All-Star Weekend in February, Converse debuted a new player signature model with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the OKC thunder point guard. Simply dubbed the Shai 001, a new “Ares Grey” color scheme has emerged this week.

Converse is entering a new era for their performance basketball shoes this year. As the original creator of the dedicated court shoe with the All-Star high-top, Cons has been an essential part of basketball history for well over one hundred years. Now armed with the full innovation and tech from Nike, they have tapped Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to be the creative director of the Bball line, including his own signature sneaker.

This week, with the NBA Playoffs underway, brands are rolling out special new colors and brand new models for their athletes to wear on the court. While we’ve already had several look at SGA’s SHAI 001 in the “Butter” yellow colorway, this week, #2 debuted a second style for the upcoming model, in “Ares Grey”. The look is tonal just like the first pair, but features a warm grey color throughout the entire model.

Seen here in the new tonal “Ares Grey” style, the Thunder guard’s futuristic shoes will be available from both Converse and select retailers, with a price tag of $130.

Action Bronson and New Balance are returning to the 990v6 for 2025. After kicking off their partnership with the model in 2023, they have cooked up some new styles like this “Amazonia” pair coming in Summer 2025.

Action Bronson’s work with New Balance made its debut in Summer 2023, with the Queens-born artist dropping two colorways of the 990v6 runner. That project was followed up with a three-pack of colorful styles for the 1906R this Summer, before Baklava turned in a new direction with the Minimus Trail. Now, they are back on the 990v6, with new colors coming in 2025.

Over the last few months, Action Bronson has shared early looks at two different styles of the Baklava 990v6, coming in 2025. The first pair features a largely white build, but this week Bronson gave us an early look at a hot pink “Amazonia” colorway. This style adds tan mudguards and dark blue accents, with just a hint of mint green and silver to complete the look.

First Look at the Jordan Trunner LX in “Luminous Green”

0

Earlier this year, Jordan Brand previewed the return of their Trunner LX silhouette for 2025. Now, the first official images of a pair are here, dressing the retro trainer in a muted “Luminous Green” shade.

During NBA All-Star Weekend in February, brands flocked to the Bay Area to showcase tons of upcoming product. Nike felt like the winner of the weekend, hosting events on both sides of the bay for the public and releasing a ton of new sneakers early, as well as showing off some upcoming models. At one of the Jordan events, the brand previewed new colors of the Trunner LX model, a trainer from 2000, which will make its return this year.

With the Trunner celebrating its twenty-five year anniversary this year, Jordan Brand is bringing back the divisive model with fresh colorways. The hybrid trainer and runner features a laceless design, instead using form-fitting materials and velcro straps for ease of use. This week, the first official images of a new pair have surfaced, painting the shoe in a soft “Luminous Green” tone. This is paired black overlays and an Anthracite midsection to complete the look.

JORDAN TRUNNER LX “LUMINOUS GREEN” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike Channels The PlayStation Air Force 1 for a New Patent Look

0

Nike’s Air Force 1 continues to be a staple of the Swoosh’s lifestyle offerings, though the model has taken a step back from the spotlight in recent years. This week, a new “Iron Grey” pair has surfaced, with some similarities to the classic PlayStation edition.

The Air Force model has been an essential piece of Nike’s image since the shoe debuted in 1982. At the time, the chunky silhouette was strictly designed for the basketball court, but its low-top variant quickly became a statement piece in streetwear. The all-white and all-black styles have been the most prominent looks, rising to fame mostly through a love of the AF1 in New York City.

This week, a new pair from Nike has surfaced, which seems to nod to the ultra limited-edition PlayStation pair given to Sony employees in 2006. The new look has a similar color blocking and patent leather touches, though it lacks some of the color and details of its predecessor. The leather base of the upper comes in a dark Iron Grey shade, which is outlined by jet black patent leather. Sail white Swooshes and midsoles break up the dark color scheme, while light blue outsoles and tongue branding complete the look.

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 LOW “IRON GREY” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s next new color scheme of their Air Force 1 Low has not been officially announced for release yet, but is expected to drop sometime in Summer 2025. Featuring accents of Armory Blue and a mix of Iron Grey and black, pairs will be available from Nike and select retailers for $150.

First Look at the Air Jordan 3 “JB Classic” PE

Each Spring, Jordan Brand hosts their Classic showcase for upcoming high school players, traveling around the country every year to a new city. The showcase is on today, and has given us a close-up look at a “JB Classic” Air Jordan 3 PE for the student athletes.

Jordan Brand’s Classic event is upon us today. The annual event is a showcase for up and coming high school players to display their talent, and attracts some of the biggest young stars in the country. The event started back in 2002, the year in which Carmelo Anthony attended, and has come full circle this year with Anthony’s son participating in the game. Zion Williamson is another notable alumni of the event.

This year’s JB Classic is special. As we noted above, the event began in 2002, which makes the 2025 showcase the 23rd anniversary of the event, a landmark number when it comes to Jordan-related things. To honor the anniversary, the event is being held in same place where it started over two decades ago, Washington DC. Additionally, JB has crafted some special gear for the young men and women involved, including a player-exclusive pair of the Air Jordan 3. Riffing on the iconic “White Cement” style, this pair adds UNC blue for the eyelets and outsoles, as well as a dark navy blue heel tab with Nike Air branding. Yellowed midsoles are added underneath, with JB Classic branding on the tongues.

The limited-edition “JB Classic” pair of the Air Jordan 3 is likely a player-exclusive style, and will only be available to the high school athletes participating in today’s showcase event in Washington DC. Flipping the classic white cement look with blue accents, we are still hoping to see this stylish pair get a wider release in the near future.

FootLocker & New Balance’s “Craft Work” Pack Dropped Today

FootLocker is one of the most well-known sneaker retailers in the world, with stores in pretty much every major shopping area you might find yourself in. This week, the store has teamed up with New Balance to release the expansive “Craft Work” collection.

New Balance’s commitment to small, SMU projects with various retailers brings us a wealth of special colorways each season. SMU ( special make-up) releases are colorways handpicked by the stores, and are available exclusively through their storefronts. These releases drop the extra level of details provided in a collaboration, including co-branding, and instead are offered to stores as a way to release limited-edition product without too much investment.

This week, FootLocker has released their latest SMU with New Balance, the “Craft Work” collection. The series features a range of models, though all six pairs are united by their color schemes, which lean heavily on neutral tan shades paired with accents in a burnt orange “Copper” tone. The 9060 appears to be the flagship model here, available in three different color schemes, one of which adds special Sparrow green N logos. The rest of the series is made up of the 725, the recent 740 retro, and fresh take on the 2002R.

FOOTLOCKER X NEW BALANCE “CRAFT WORK” PACK

The new project from FootLocker and New Balance released today, April 17th, 2025, and is currently available from the retailer’s website and many physical stores. Featuring the 9060, 740, 725, and 2002R, styles are priced between $110 and $150, and are available in both adult and grade school size ranges.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Saturn Gold” Releases Summer 2025

With the Spring equinox happening this week, brands are turning to lighter and bright color palettes for the sunnier months. Nike’s SB team is preparing a new style of their Dunk Low for Summer, dressed in a tonal “Saturn Gold” color scheme.

The SB Dunk has been a mainstay for Nike since the variant model was first introduced in 2002, alongside the Swoosh’s third attempt at entering the skate world. The refined version of the classic model makes some subtle changes to the OG, the most notable being the puffy tongue for extra padding. While SB has released a ton of special pairs over the past two decades, their in-line releases are still some of the strongest in Nike’s arsenal, rolling out fresh, seasonal colorways every month.

This week, we have an official look at a new pair of the SB Dunk Low set to release during the Summer window. Part of the Orange Label series, the new look brings a sunny color scheme to the low-top model, cast in the “Saturn Gold” shade. The shoe sports a mixed material upper of suede and nubuck, with leather Swooshes added in plain white. Gum soles and subtle safety orange hits complete the new look.

NIKE SB DUNK LOW PRO “SATURN GOLD” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest pair of Nike SB’s Dunk Low Pro to surface does not have a release date yet, but is currently speculated to release in Summer 2025. The tonal “Saturn Gold” edition with white Swooshes will likely be available from both Nike and select local skate shops, with a price tag of $115.

The “Olympic” Nike Air Max 95 Rumored to Return in 2026

Nike Air Max 95 Olympic
2004 pair shown

Nike has created a lot of special edition sneakers over the years, though not every pair makes it to the historical record. Enter the “Olympic” Air Max 95 from 2004, which is now rumored to get a new release in 2026.

Nike loves a special occasion to release limited-edition sneakers. The Swoosh frequently uses holidays or local celebrations to provide inspiration for their specialty releases, like the upcoming “King’s Day” Air Max 1 or the “Easter” edition Air Force 1, both releasing this month. Way back in 2004, the brand celebrated the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, with a special pair of the Air Max 95. Now, that style is rumored to be getting a retro release in 2026.

In 2004, the Summer Olympic Games returned to their roots, hosted in Greece, the country that invented the competition hundreds of years ago. Set in Athens, the same city that hosted the original modern-day games back in 1896, the 2004 events were a monumental occasion, with plenty of celebration throughout their duration. Nike joined in on the fun by creating a special pair of their Air Max 95, adding the six colors representing the Games to the shoe’s layered upper and lace loops. Final touches included a greek glaf on the tongue and gold Nike Swooshes.

NIKE AIR MAX 95 “OLYMPIC” RELEASE INFORMATION

The retro release of Nike’s Air Max 95 “Olympic” edition, originally from 2004, has not been officially announced, and is currently only rumored to release in 2026. The colorful style celebrating the Games in Greece will likely release from both Nike and select retailers, with its new price tag of $190.

Nike’s Air 180 Retro in “Light Khaki” Releases in April 2025

Last year, Nike issued a new retro edition of their Air 180 trainer, bringing back the early ’90s trainer in OG color schemes. Now, new styles have begun to hit the iconic silhouette, with a “Light Khaki” palette coming soon.

In 1991, Nike released the Air 180, a new generation of performance for the Air Max line. The model introduced a brand new enlarged air bag in the heels, along with a forward-leaning stance for an aggressive, race-ready look. Since then, the 180 has become a cult classic from the Swoosh, and was revitalized for another retro run at the tail end of 2024, which kicked off with a handful of OG color schemes.

After the initial releases of OG colorways, Nike has been having fun riffing on their iconic Air 180 with a handful of brand new styles. This week, a new pair for Spring 2025 has surfaced, with a palette based in a “Light Khaki” shade. The pair features a canvas base for the upper, dyed in a baby blue shade with some hints of a gradient, changing to light grey at the toes and below the Swooshes. The light khaki pieces come in a soft suede for the overlays, black Swooshes and an aged midsole complete the look.

NIKE AIR 180 “LIGHT KHAKI” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s next new color scheme of their retro Air 180 has been officially announced for release this month, on April 30th, 2025. Featuring underlays in light blue canvas and Light Khaki overlays, pairs will be available from Nike and select retailers for $150.
