Nike Dunk Low QS “Tokyo” Releases Next Week

0
Nike Dunk Low QS Tokyo

Nike has released a ton of special Quickstrike drops over the years, but it’s been a while since we’ve seen a proper one. This week, a new pair of the Dunk Low QS has been teased, but unfortunately for us it will be a Tokyo exclusive.

Nike’s Quickstrike release system is the stuff of sneaker legends. While the exact date or shoe that kicked off the program is unknown, early in the 2000s the Quickstrike name became synonymous with the Swoosh’s marketing strategy. The plan is quite simple: make a special pair of sneakers in very limited quantities, often celebrating a specific event or city. Then, release them at said event or city without any prior notice. This strategy is what created so much hype around Nike releases in the 2000s, and its coming back soon.

This week, atmos creative director Hirofumi Kojima teased an early look at an updated pair of the Dunk Low QS “Tokyo”. Pictured alongside its predecessor from 2004, the new pair features luxurious materials for a very worthy update. The original is the all-canvas pair on the left, and the pair on the right, sporting ostrich leather, faux fur, and canvas, is this year’s update. The new look sports a very similar color scheme, in shades of white with a gum sole, and is expected to release soon, though the exact date will likely not be announced.

NIKE DUNK LOW QS “TOKYO” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike has not announced the release of their upcoming Dunk Low Quickstrike, and we likely won’t have a release date until its already out. The new premium pair with faux fur, ostrick leather, and canvas will be available exclusively in Tokyo, Japan, so hit up your international connects as these will be extremely limited.

The 2025 Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” is Now Available

The iconic Air Jordan 11 Low “Bred” will finally release in true OG form during the Summer of 2025. This highly anticipated drop pays homage to Michael Jordan’s player exclusive worn during the 1996 NBA Finals.

The pair boasts a Black, Varsity Red, and White color scheme. The black patent leather across the mudguard, mesh upper, and leather heels make a bold statement. Additionally, white branding and midsoles provide a clean contrast. Varsity Red accents complete the look, highlighting the Jumpman logo and running across the semi-translucent outsole. The combination of black patent leather and varsity red accents creates a timeless look that will elevate any collection.

In 2015, Jordan Brand launched a variation of the “Bred” Jordan 11. However, it did not feature the OG color blocking seen on the mid-top version. This upcoming 2025 release corrects that, bringing the design closer to its original form.

This release is part of Jordan Brand’s extensive 2025 lineup, joining other notable drops such as the “Igloo,” “Black Cat,” “Black/Military Blue,” “Hydrogen Blue,” “White Cement,” and “Valentine’s Day” editions. The “Bred” edition stands out with its unique colorway and design features, ensuring it will be highly sought after by sneakerheads and collectors alike.

Swarovski Lends Their Jewels to a New Crocs Collection

0
Swarovski Crocs Collection

Crocs has had some unusual collaborations over the last few years, teaming up with everyone from high fashion brands to beloved anime IP. This week, they’ve unveiled a new high-end project, adding Swarovski crystals to the iconic clog for a new collection.

Crocs first found their footing in the world back in 2002, when they introduced the original, and now iconic clog silhouette, then dubbed The Beach. For years after, the shoes were judged as weird and quirky, except for those ride or die fans who swore by them. Now, Crocs has grown to tremendous heights, with pairs of their simple and affordable Classic Clogs available everywhere. Over the last few years, they’ve transformed into a collaborative powerhouse, teaming up with a massive range of brands, licensed IP, and artists.

This week, Crocs has unveiled their latest entry in a long line of collaborative projects, which will see them team up with Swarovski, makers of flashy crystals. The project features two shoes, a Classic Clog in an all-white colorway, and a Clog Platform in all black. Both shoes have been reworked, eliminating most of the shoes’ perforations for more surface area to attach the web-like overlays on both styles. The white pair features a dense distribution of crystals while the black features fewer but bigger ones.

SWAROVSKI X CROCS COLLECTION RELEASE INFORMATION

The upcoming project from Crocs, which sees them add Swarovski’s signature crystals added to their clogs, is scheduled to release next month on May 6th, 2025. Featuring both the Classic Clog and the taller Platform version, both the black and white styles will be available from the Crocs website. Pricing for these pairs is currently unknown.

Nike KD18 ‘New Timeline’ is Now Available

Kevin Durant’s Nike KD18 blends style, comfort, and cutting-edge technology. This signature shoe, inspired by the Nike Terra Humara, elevates on-court performance. Designed for hoopers craving control, it delivers unmatched lockdown and traction. Let’s dive into what makes the KD18 a game-changer for basketball enthusiasts.

Innovative Design Fuels Performance

The KD18 boasts a midfoot cage for superior foot lockdown. This feature ensures stability during explosive movements. Moreover, its Air Zoom cushioning combines with Nike Air for responsive comfort. Consequently, players can push harder without fatigue. The shoe’s low-top design enhances ankle mobility, perfect for quick cuts. Ross Klein, Nike’s Senior Director of Men’s Basketball Footwear, emphasizes its purpose. He notes the KD18 empowers Durant to dominate with confidence. Ultimately, this design caters to both pros and casual players.

Nostalgic Inspiration Meets Modern Flair

Drawing from the 1990s Nike Terra Humara, the KD18 fuses retro vibes with Durant’s sleek style. For instance, its bold colorways, like the “New Timeline,” scream personality. Additionally, premium materials like leather and Nubuck elevate the Black Label edition. These touches create a standout look on and off the court. Therefore, the KD18 doubles as a lifestyle sneaker. Its breathable mesh upper keeps feet cool during intense games. This blend of heritage and innovation sets it apart.

Traction and Comfort for Elite Play

Traction defines the KD18’s hardwood dominance. Its underfoot grip ensures players stick their landings. Furthermore, the Cushlon midsole offers a soft, responsive feel. This setup supports high-energy play without sacrificing comfort. In contrast to the KD17, the KD18 refines these elements subtly. However, the premium Black Label variant ups the ante with durable materials. As a result, hoopers gain a reliable edge. The shoe’s lightweight build lets players move freely.

Durant’s Legacy Shines Through

Kevin Durant, a 30,000-point NBA legend, inspires the KD18’s evolution. His effortless efficiency shapes its performance-driven design. Accordingly, Nike crafted a shoe reflecting his versatile game. The KD18 also nods to Durant’s D.C. roots, tying into Nike’s ACG catalog. Thus, it resonates with fans and athletes alike. This signature silhouette fuels basketball culture with bold aesthetics. It’s a testament to Durant’s enduring influence.

Release Details and Pricing

The Nike KD18 drops globally on April 18th, 2025, at DICK’S Sporing Goods and select retailers. It retails for $160 USD, with this “New Timeline” colorway leading the launch. Additional colorways, like “EYBL” and “Air Bakin,” follow in April and May.

Nike KD18 ‘New Timeline’
Color: Clear Jade/Liquid Lime-Black
Release Date: April 18, 2025

In conclusion, the Nike KD18 merges innovation, style, and Durant’s legacy into a must-have basketball shoe. Its thoughtful design and performance features make it a standout. Whether you’re a hooper or a sneakerhead, this release delivers.

Miu Miu x Coco Gauff x New Balance Drops in September

0

The partnership between Miu Miu and New Balance started in late 2022, and has been lauded in high fashion circles. This week, they’ve unveiled their next project, tapping Coco Gauff to lend her signature shoe to the tennis collection.

Miu Miu was one of the few high-fashion labels to keep out of the wave of sneaker collaborations that hit us between 2018 and 2022. Likely biding their time, they eventually teamed up with New Balance, an apt choice for their style, to create elevated pairs of classic NB silhouettes. They kicked off their partnership with the 574, before moving on to the 530 and reengineering it with a SuperLight version. Now, the two have previewed their next collection, which taps Coco Gauff to star and lend her signature shoe to the mix.

The previous projects from Miu Miu and New Balance have been entirely lifestyle and fashion based. That changes this Fall, as the two have worked with Coco Gauff for their next release. The collection includes a range of court-ready apparel, including tennis skirts, jackets, and tracksuits, all featuring co-branding from the two partners. Additionally, new colors of the 530 SuperSlim are coming, in grey, black, or silver colorways. The highlight is Miu Miu’s take on the CG1, Gauff’s signature performance model, which will arrive in both grey & green and white & gold combinations.

MIU MIU X COCO GAUFF X NEW BALANCE COLLECTION RELEASE INFORMATION

The next project from Miu Miu and New Balance, which brings tennis star Coco Gauff into the fold, is currently scheduled to release this Fall on September 10th, 2025. Featuring a range of performance apparel as well as new colors of the 530 sneaker and CG1 trainer, the collection will be available from both brand partners as well as select retailers.

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG Goes “Football Grey” in 2026

Air Jordan 1 Low OG Football Grey IQ1108-011
Speculative Mock-up

Jordan Brand’s releases are often leaked over a year in advance, and give us somewhat of an idea for what to look forward to. This week, news of an Air Jordan 1 Low OG colorway has arrived, dressed in a “Football Grey” shade.

Nike will be easing up on the throttle for some of their most beloved models in the coming future. Since 2020, Dunk and Air Jordan 1 releases have been out of control, breaking the dam on decades of carefully curated exclusivity, keeping their most iconic models as hyped as they were in the 2010s. While the Swoosh will be scaling these shoes back significantly, they will not just disappear, and new leaks for 2026 suggest the Air Jordan 1 Low OG will be as relevant as ever.

This week, SneakerMarket.RO has shared details of an upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low OG release for 2026, joining several other pairs we’ve seen in the last few months. The new look sports a “Football Grey” color scheme, paired with a sail white base, and accents in Light Chocolate brown and Metallic Gold. While the mockup seen above is likely close to the shoe’s final form, the grey shade will probably lean more towards other styles that have released recently, like this Air Max 1.

AIR JORDAN 1 LOW OG “FOOTBALL GREY” RELEASE INFORMATION

The new rumor of an Air Jordan 1 Low OG will not be confirmed by the brand for some time, and is currently speculated to release sometime in 2026. Dressed in a pale “Football Grey” shade with chocolate and gold accents, pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers with a price tag of $140.
