Salehe Bembury x Crocs Juniper “Apricot” Drops This Week

0
Salehe Bembruy Crocs Juniper Apricot

Nearly a year after its debut, Salehe Bembury’s Crocs Juniper silhouette is still going strong, popping up every few months in new colorways. This week, a new “Apricot” style has been announced, releasing soon.

Salehe’s tenure with Crocs has changed the course of sneakers over the last few years. His first project with the clog brand, the Pollex slip-on, was so popular that nearly every other major footwear brand has introduced a new take on a rubber clog in the last several years. Since then, Bembury has moved on to new styles, including full sneakers like the Cypress Boot and the Juniper trainer.

This week will bring us another fresh colorway of the Juniper silhouette ahead of Summer. The all-purpose silhouette, which features the distinctive fingerprint traction design, is dressing up in a bright new “Apricot” color to match the seasonal color change. The look features an orange hue for the rubberized outer body, which is paired with a soft tan textile inner bootie. The chunky sole comes in a pale purple shade, while accents in neon blue and dark red complete the look.

Nike Air Max Sunder “Lightning” Releases This Week

Nike’s releases of the Air Max Sunder retro are ramping up after their initial debut last year. This week, we have official images of a new pair expected this Summer, which pits the shoe in a “Lightning” yellow colorway with black and dark blue accents.

Nike is clearly preparing for a big year for their recent Air Max Sunder retro, with more colors filling out their release lineup on a weekly basis. After the initial rollout in classic neons, followed by a Gore-Tex pack, more styles are emerging regularly, including new denim and premium leather varieties. This week, we have an early look at a new Summer-ready style, featuring a “Lightning” color scheme.

The Air Max Sunder is one of the best retro releases from Nike in a while, reviving the turn-of-the-century running shoe at the perfect time. With more and more colorways on the horizon, today we have the Swoosh’s official imagery of a new “Lightning” color scheme. This pair pits the shoe’s uppers in a sunny Saturn Gold color, while the bottom half comes almost entirely in jet black. The signature TPU pieces with perforations come in a dark Diffused Blue shade to break up the high contrast color blocking.

Aimé Leon Dore’s New Balance RC56 is Available Now

0

Teddy Santis’ Aimé Leon Dore brand has been working closely with New Balance since the success of their first collaboration back in 2020. This year, the New York apparel label will once again help debut a brand new NB silhouette for SS25.

With Teddy Santis stepping into a creative director role at New Balance several years ago, the relationship between NB and ALD has grown stronger with each passing season. The Boston brand regularly contributes their footwear to the NYC label’s seasonal releases, as well as Santis steering the brand’s Made in USA line creatively. Over the past few years, ALD has been the first to release several New Balance models, both new and retro, and they are cooking up another of these releases for the SS25 season.

This week, Aimé Leon Dore released a video teasing some of their upcoming work for the SS25 season. The montage included videos of a meeting between ALD and New Balance where the two were reviewing samples of a brand new sneaker silhouette, one that has not been identified yet as a retro model. The shoe boasts a sleek silhouette akin to that of the 1000, though its design is more simple and features less individual panels. Throughout the video, at least four different colors were shown, showcasing the shoe’s swooping lines down each side, and its minimal midsole unit.

UNNAMED AIME LEON DORE X NEW BALANCE RC56 RELEASE INFORMATION

The next release from Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance has not been announced yet, but new information suggests the RC56 will make its debut sometime in Spring 2025. Very little is known about the project yet, but the modified track spike will likely come with a price tag in the $150 range.

UPDATE 5/8/25: Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance have now officially unveiled the RC56. The new model marks the first time ever that New Balance has designed a silhouette entirely from scratch for one of their brand partners, a huge moment in the histories of both brands. The RC56 is currently expected to make its debut sometime this month, though an exact date has not been announced yet.

UPDATE 3/26/25: Aimé Leon Dore’s next collaboration with New Balance will debut the RC56, a retro track spike modified to be a lifestyle model. An early pair of the Neon Green pair has been obtained by SolebyJC, with a release expected sometime in Spring.

adidas’ UltraBoost 1.0 “Warm Vanilla” Releases This Summer

adidas is celebrating ten years of the now-iconic Ultraboost silhouette this year, and the brand has some fun new colors available to celebrate. This week, a new “Warm Vanilla” style has surfaced, coming soon.

The adidas Ultraboost originally debuted in 2015, as the brand’s premier new running shoe. The model was one of the early silhouettes to incorporate Boost into its design, following in the lead of the PureBoost, the model worn by Kanye that helped the line skyrocket to popularity. While they have iterated on the Ultra silhouette a number of times, the original 1.0 style is still the fan-favorite, and is releasing in new colorways to celebrate its anniversary.

This week has brought us an early look at one of the new styles coming this Summer for the UltraBoost 1.0. The new look sports a “Warm Vanilla” shade of pale yellow across the entirety of its Primeknit upper. Layered on top, the signature TPU cage and heel cup of the shoe come in a similar off-white tone, with the Boost sole dyed to match and paired with a gum outsole. The final piece is metallic gold stripes and tongue tags to complete the look.

Hi Impact

The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” is Now Available

Jordan Brand releases a lot of retro editions of their iconic sneakers, but some hit harder than most. This year, they are rumored to release a 2.0 version of the “Seoul” Air Jordan 3 from 2018, with some updated colors in its palette.

Back in 2018, Jordan Brand tapped designers Tinker Hatfield and Dan Sunwoo to design a new pair of the Air Jordan 3 to commemorate the 1988 Olympic Games in the South Korean capital city. The pair was a fan-favorite of that year, but was only available exclusively in Korea before a wider Asia release came in 2020, but only in women’s sizing. Now, it appears Jordan is bringing back the special style for a new 2.0 release, and hopefully, wider availability.

The “Seoul 2.0” version of the Air Jordan 3 spruces up the shoe’s original design just a bit, adding some elements of retro sneakers that have grown immensely popular in the last eight years since its release. The 2.0 version retains the white leather upper paired with a royal blue color and red inner lining. However, this pair’s elephant print panels have been swapped to suede, and now feature a warmer grey color with less distinctive patterns. The midsole has been changed from all white to an aged yellow look, adding a cement grey outsole for more depth. The original featured “Harmony and Peace” embroidered inside the tongues in Korean, though it is currently unclear if that detail returns for the new release.

AIR JORDAN 3 “SEOUL 2.0” RELEASE INFORMATION

The new and updated version of the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” is scheduled to release on May 17th, 2025. Featuring a revised elephant print panel and aged midsole, the second edition will likely be available from both SNKRS and select retailers with a price tag of $200.

Junya Watanabe x New Balance 471 Releases in Fall 2025

0

The eponymous Junya Watanabe label has been teaming up with New Balance regularly to craft footwear for their seasonal collections. This week, the two showed off a fresh release for FW25, featuring two colors of the 471 trainer.

New Balance is running wild with their upcoming collaborations at Paris Fashion Week, with a wide range of labels showing off upcoming projects. Japan’s AURALEE showed off their take on the T500, and CdG’s Homme is helping to revive the 509 runner from the early 2010s. Junya Watanabe has also shown off one of their upcoming releases, which features the 471, a model expected to arrive sometime this year.

Currently, the jury is still out on whether the New Balance 471 is an archival model, or a brand new silhouette designed with the vintage aesthetics of 1970s running shoes. The slim profile and minimal midsole are obvious nods to that era, and Junya Watanabe has crafted two colors in different material builds for their release. First, an all-grey style mixes a mesh base with shaggy suede uppers, while the second pair in black & white mixes a leather base with the same hairy suede outer layers.

JUNYA WATANABE X NEW BALANCE 471 RELEASE INFORMATION

The next seasonal footwear from Junya Watanabe’s eponymous label and New Balance does not have a release date yet, but is expected to drop during the Fall/Winter 2025 season. Featured in either all-black or all-grey color palettes, pairs of the 471 will likely be available exclusively though Junya retailers. No pricing information is available yet.

G-Shock Brings Timepieces to the Crocs Echo Wave

0

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Crocs is one of the most prolific collaborators in the world of footwear. This week, they’ve announced a new project with G-Shock, combining watches with their Echo Wave clog.

Crocs has been on a roll for the last few years, updating their catalog with tons of new styles and plenty of collaborations to go around. Their first big hit in the sneaker world came via their partnership with Salehe Bembury, the designer-for-hire that has his hands full with projects from a huge variety of brands. They have tapped brands like BAPE, DragonBall, Pokemon, Swarovski, and more for releases, and that’s just in 2025 so far. This month, their new Echo Wave model is getting an upgrade courtesy of G-Shock.

G-Shock rarely ventures into the world of footwear, but their upcoming release with Crocs is a worthy release for the iconic watchmaker. Featuring the Echo Wave, a clog model defined by its swooping lines, they’ve crafted a unique take that includes one of their wrist watches to wear on your wrist and your shoes. The shoe itself is cast in a full white build, adding marbled straps around the heels. The shoe and accompanying watch are fully glow-in-the-dark, and the watch bezel has a housing attachment at the collar of the shoe. The watch strap also comes in a marbled pattern to match the sneaker.

G-SHOCK X CROCS ECHO WAVE RELEASE INFORMATION

The upcoming project from G-Shock and Crocs has been scheduled to release later this month, on May 27th, 2025. Featuring the Echo Wave, a clog silhouette aimed towards sneakerheads, the glow-in-the-dark model with a watch attachment will be available from both partners, as well as select retailers, for $200.

Liberty London Brings Floral Jacquard to the adidas Samba

0

Liberty London, the iconic bazaar-style retailer of luxury goods, returns to footwear this month for another release with adidas. The latest drop brings a floral jacquard textile to the Samba, dressed in light hues for Summer.

London’s Liberty retailer has a long and storied history in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1875, the store aimed to provide a one-stop shop for high-end and luxury goods from all over the world. Their store has grown over the years, currently occupying a massive Tudor-style building with six full floor of wares sourced from all over the globe. Additionally, they design and mill their own line of fabrics, which they’ve lent to adidas for their ongoing sneaker collaboration.

After the debut of Liberty London x adidas early this year, the two are back with a fresh release to kick off the Summer late this month. This release centers on the Samba, a historic sneaker in British fashion, once again using a floral pattern. The pair features a jacquard textile base layer in pink and white with a floral pattern, and adds bright red leather accents for the Three Stripes and heel tabs, as well as off-white leather toes and eyestays to complete the look.

The adidas AE2 “Lucid Orange” Releases for All-Star 2026

After months of waiting and several leaks during the sampling and design process, the adidas AE2 is almost here. This week, information regarding Anthony Edwards’ sophomore sneaker in “Lucid Orange” has surfaced, dropping during All Star 2026.

The success of Anthony Edwards’ first signature shoe with adidas, the AE1, has been one of the highlights of the sneaker world over the last year and change. The model made its debut about 18 months ago, and quickly became one of the most sought-after basketball shoes on the market, thanks to an eye-catching, but wearable design, low price point, and full-family sizing options. Now, the AE2 is in the pipeline, and is coming soon.

The last news we got regarding the adidas AE2 came early this year, when adidas showed the model briefly during one of their earnings calls. Now, we have the first information regarding the shoe’s release, though this is specifically a color for All-Star Weekend in 2026, so we will likely see the model debut before then. The “Lucid Orange” pair seen here features many similar design details as the original, adding some new swooping panels and replacing the honeycomb outer shell entirely. This pair features metallic accents and a white toe cap to complete the look.

ADIDAS AE2 “LUCID ORANGE” RELEASE INFORMATION

The first official release of Anthony Edwards’ adidas AE2 sneaker is set for next year, on February 12th, 2026. We will likely see the shoe hit shelves before then, but this is the first actual information regarding a release for the sophomore signature shoe. Additionally, pricing for this model is set at $130.
