The Nike Air Force 1 Gets a New “Black Cat” Look for 2025

Nike’s Air Force 1 has seen hundreds of iterations land on shelves over the past forty-three years, but none hit harder than the classic triple white or triple black styles. This year, the latter is getting an all-suede “Black Cat” upgrade, coming soon.

The triple black Air Force 1 is an essential, and long-standing piece of the Nike catalog. The shoe itself has became a meme, with the all-black style used to indicate qualities of the person wearing them, but also communicate effortless style through a timeless design. We’ve seen Nike issue different versions of this look over the years, and in 2025 they are rolling out another new take on the icon.

This week has brought us an official look at an upcoming “Black Cat” edition of the Air Force 1 Low. The new look douses the shoe in a jet black color as you would expect, but brings new materials to the fan-favorite design to elevate the look. This pair features an upper constructed entirely of soft suede leather, adding canvas tongues for a bit of variation in the texture. The Swooshes also feature a backing panel for a little extra oomph.

Split Color Blocking Comes to the Nike SB Dunk Low “Muni”

Nike SB has a ton of Dunk Low styles coming throughout the next year, and this week we have an early look at a new “Lightning” edition. This pair splits its color blocking down the middle, and releases in Spring 2026.

The Nike SB Dunk is one of the most important silhouettes in the history of streetwear and sneaker collecting. Introduced as a modified variant of the iconic basketball shoe, the SB version features revised cushioning and structure in the midsole, and extra padding on the interior for more protection. Over the past few weeks, we’ve had early looks at a number of upcoming styles for the model, now including an interesting Split version set to release next year.

The upcoming Split style of Nike SB’s Dunk Low brings a new color blocking to the beloved model, splitting the shoe in half at the midfoot in two distinct colors. The front half of the shoe comes in a muted Denim Turquoise shade of blue, while the rear half comes in a bright Lightning yellow. The shoe is constructed from suede all the way throughout, and features several laces which also merge the yellow and blue tones. Finally, a metallic silver Swoosh outlined in black appears on either side.

NIKE SB DUNK LOW SPLIT “MUNI” RELEASE INFORMATION

The new style of Nike SB’s Dunk Low has not been announced yet, but is expected to release next year as a part of their Spring 2026 lineup. Featuring a split color blocking inspired by old San Francisco Muni passes, in Lightning yellow and Denim Turquoise, pairs will be available through the SNKRS app and local skate shops. No pricing information is currently available.

UPDATE 6/8/25: The new split-color look for the Nike SB Dunk Low is reportedly inspired by old San Francisco Muni passes, a commuter train that criss-crosses the city. Before Muni was folded into the SFMTA, passes came in split colors, with a metallic silver stripe down the middle.

Nike’s Air Max Sunder “Deep Night” Gradient Releases in July

Nike’s releases of the Air Max Sunder retro are ramping up after their initial debut last year. This week, we have our first look at a new pair expected this Summer, which pits the shoe in a “Deep Night” pink to blue gradient.

The Swoosh has been on a roll with their retro Air Max releases as of late, with the latest Alpha Project shoe, the Craze, hitting shelves this month. The other big release of the last year was the return of the Air Max Sunder, another turn-of-the-century Alpha model with a similar zippered shroud and neoprene upper. The Sunder has been a long-awaited retro for many Air Max heads, and Nike is giving us tons of options for the iconic model.

This week, another new style of the Sunder has surfaced, returning to the gradient color schemes of the initial releases in 2024. The look is prominently covered in a “Deep Night” shade of blue, though the toes start with a “Cactus Flower” pink, which, when paired, mimic the colors of a sunset. The rest of the shoe is framed in black, while the mudguard air vents come in white for a pop of contrast.

NIKE AIR MAX SUNDER “DEEP NIGHT” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s upcoming “Deep Night” style of the Air Max Sunder retro does not have a release date yet, but is currently expected to release sometime in Summer 2025. The gradient pink-to-dark blue black style with flashes of white will be available from both Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers with a price tag of $180.

Nike’s “Eclair” Air Max Plus Returns in Summer 2025

Nike’s celebration of their Air Max Plus is continuing in 2025, this time issuing retro colorways of the shoe from 2000 for a special twenty-fifth anniversary release. This week, we got our first look at the “Eclair” or Lightning pair, coming soon.

The Nike Air Max Tuned 1 was originally released in 1998, through a partnership with Footlocker that saw the running shoe drop exclusively through the retailer’s stores. Since then, the model has become an essential part of the Air Max lore, as the first shoe to feature the at-the-time brand new Tuned technology underfoot. Now known as the AM Plus, the silhouette has been celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary since 2023 with a range of retro colors.

The latest of Nike’s classic styles to surface is the 2000 “Eclair” edition of the Air Max Plus. Released alongside models from the Alpha Project, like a similar pair of the Air Presto, the shoe features a lightning bolt graphic across the upper. The 2025 pair is an exact replica of the OG, dressed in navy blue with a suede mudguard accents, and white midsoles with bright Salsa Red accents.

NIKE AIR MAX PLUS “ECLAIR” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s latest retro of an OG Air Max Plus colorway does not have an official release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime in Summer 2025. The lightning bolt-clad “Eclair” style will be available from both Nike and select retailers, with a price tag of $180.

Nike SB Dunk Low Pro “Red Stardust” Releases in June 2025

Nike SB Dunk Low Pro Red Stardust HJ4135-600

Sneaker releases and leaks for next year are starting to pile up, with some exciting releases on the horizon. This week, new colors of the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro have emerged in mockups, like this “Red Stardust” style for Spring.

Nike SB’s releases of their Dunk Low Pro styles are some of the hottest in-line shoe drops on the market. This is partially due to the nature of their releases; available exclusively through the SNKRS app and skate shops with an SB account, making them hard to find, and even harder to actually get your hands on. Luckily, SB regularly has new models available each season.

This week, a number of leaked styles for Spring 2025 of the SB Dunk have surfaced. Most of these leaks contain just information, and are then mocked up by the leakers themselves, like this “Red Stardust” pair. Expected in mid Spring, the look features shades of orange, pale red, and olive across its upper.

NIKE SB DUNK LOW PRO “RED STARDUST” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike SB’s upcoming “Red Stardust” colorway of the Dunk Low Pro is expected to release sometime in Spring 2025, likely in April. Featuring secondary colors in olive and orange, pairs will be available via SNKRS and skate shops for $115.

atmos Flips the Aqua adidas ZX 8000 for the Next G-SNK Release

0

Japanese retailer atmos is always cooking up a new sneaker release, dropping special projects with major brands practically every month. Today, we have our first look at their next entry in the adidas G-SNK series, a bright yellow ZX 8000.

atmos is one of the most prolific, and longest-standing collaborators in the world of sneakers. The Japanese retailer opened its doors in Harajuku in 2000, rooted in a love of vintage Americana style. Over the years the brand has evolved to center around streetwear and American-inspired brands, and began releasing regular projects with household names like Nike, New Balance, and adidas.

Over the last few years, atmos has leaned heavily into their relationship with adidas, including an ongoing G-SNK series highlighting the ZX 8000. The series pits the ZX8k in fresh colorways, each bearing snakeskin panels and other fun details. This week, we have an early look at their next installment, which follows up on the “Glow Snake” pair from last Summer. The new edition is a flip of the iconic “Aqua” color scheme for the model, remixing the fan-favorite palette. This look sports a mostly bright yellow upper, adding aqua blue soles and stripes, with a touch of purple to round out the look.

ATMOS X ADIDAS ZX 8000 G-SNK “YELLOW” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next installment in atmos and adidas’ ongoing G-SNK series, featuring the ZX 8000, has not been announced yet, but is expected in Summer 2025. Delivering a fresh take on the iconic Aqua color scheme, the new bright yellow look will likely be available through both atmos and adidas channels. Pricing information is currently unavailable.

The Nike Dunk Low Goes Gore-Tex for Fall 2025

The Nike Dunk has been a very important piece of Nike’s catalog over the last five years, with hundreds of colorways released in that time. Now, the Swoosh is trying something new, bringing Gore-Tex lining to a new pair in “Crimson” red for Fall 2025.

Gore-Tex is one of the many man-made miracles, a material that is essentially 100& waterproof, keeping us dry via apparel and sneakers for decades now. GTX is often added to some of our favorite sneaker models during the Fall and Winter months, adding extra protection while keeping us fresh throughout the rainy season. Nike has added Gore to the Air Jordan 1, Air Force 1, and many more, but they have very rarely, specifically once, used GTX in a Dunk release.

This year, Nike will release in-line styles of the Dunk Low with a Gore-Tex membrane embedded in the upper. The only Dunk release in history to have GTX was a Medicom release in 2008, making this the first in-line, widely available pair to feature the technology. Early photos of a pair in “Crimson” red have surfaced today, featuring two shades of neon red across the upper, and adding burgundy accents for the laces and heel tabs. Molded Swooshes appear on either side, and in plain white for this colorway.

NIKE DUNK LOW GORE-TEX “CRIMSON” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s debut of a new in-line, Gore-Tex-clad Dunk Low has not been announced, but is currently expected to arrive during the Fall 2025 season. Seen here in a brilliant “Crimson” red color scheme with molded white Swooshes, pairs will likely be available from both Nike and select retailers, and will carry a price tag of $150 for the special waterproofing.

New Balance’s 990v6 in “Vintage Indigo” Joins the Community Pack

The last week has brought us a look at several upcoming styles from New Balance featuring the 990v6. Now being dubbed the “Community” pack, the third and final style in the series gives the shoe a makeover in “Vintage Indigo”.

New Balance’s sixth iteration of their 1982 990 running shoe burst onto the sneaker scene in 2022, just a few years after the launch of the v5. The new version was one of the shortest turnaround times from its predecessor, with both the v5 and v6 models arriving in three year intervals after the v4. Now, the 990v6 is one of the most frequent releases in the brand’s catalog, and arrives in fresh colors and collaborations every month.

Over the past week, we’ve seen a number of new colors for the 990v6 surface online, particularly through the subreddit dedicated to New Balance. One of the users has seemingly gotten their hands on several pairs from the “Community” pack, which dresses the shoe in vivid colors over a flat grey base layer. The third and final pair joins the “Clay Ash” and “Community Red” styles with a classic NB tone; Vintage Indigo. This pair sports the same gunmetal grey base with dark shades of blue making up these suede paneling and midsoles.
