Stranger Things & Nike Reunite for a Dunk Pack Releasing Holiday 2025

0

Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things is coming to an end, debuting its final season in November 2025. To celebrate, they’ve teamed up with Nike again, this time cooking up two pairs of the Dunk Low for a new release.

In 2019, Netflix released the third season of their critically-acclaimed series Stranger Things. The show, set in the 1980s in fictional Hawkins, Indiana, has a love of ’80s culture and fashion and an attention to detail in production design that captured the attention of fans in all age groups. Jumping on the popularity of the project, Nike and Stranger Things released a series of capsule collection in 2019, with apparel inspired by vintage PE uniforms and sneakers that were popular in that decade.

With the show coming to an end later this year, new leaks have given us an early look at a new project from Nike and Stranger things, featuring two special styles of the Dunk Low. Season 4 of the show was set in 1986, meaning the Dunk would have just released the year prior in the show’s universe, meaning we could see some pairs appear in season 5. The pair seen here is the ‘Phantom” white colorway from the pack, featuring a textured leather upper for a cracked finish, and sporting pre-aged midsoles, navy blue accents, and upside down Nike Air branding.

STRANGER THINGS X NIKE DUNK LOW PACK RELEASE INFORMATION

Featuring two pairs of the Dunk Low, of which the “Phantom” style is seen here, pairs will likely be available from both Nike and select retailers for $155 each.

The Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 “Soft Yellow” is Now Available

Nike unveiled their Kobe lineup for Spring & Summer 2025 this week, giving us our first official and early looks at new products. Among the lineup is a new Protro edition of the Air Force 1 Low, which will debut in a “Soft Yellow” style.

Nike’s Air Force 1 has been an iconic piece of their catalog since its introduction in 1982. Over the decades, the shoe has released in dozens of different formats, with new tech or styling choices for each. In the late ’10s and early ’20s, Nike began experimenting with new cushioning technology and revised, modernized styling for the AF1, but none of the truly stuck like the OG. This year, they are giving us the best of both worlds with a new Protro edition.

The new Protro version of the Air Force 1 is the best possible next step for the iconic Nike shoe, blending their timeless design with today’s modern technology inside. From the outside, this looks like a standard-issue classic AF1, albeit with a number 8-shaped panel at the heels. Nike has announced that the shoe will feature drop-in ReactX cushioned insoles, potentially making them viable as a performance model again. For the initial Kobe release, the shoe gets a “Soft Yellow” leather upper with each panel lined in a vibrant purple shade, Kobe signatures, and snakeskin-inspired lace patterns.

KOBE BRYANT X NIKE AIR FORCE 1 PROTRO RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s new Protro edition of the Air Force 1 Low will make its debut sometime in Summer 2025, through a Kobe Bryant-inspired edition. Cast in a “Soft Yellow” color scheme with purple trim, the newly upgraded version will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $150.

Patta x Nike Air Max 90 “Waves” Pack Releasing June 2025

0

Patta and Nike are now rumored to be cooking up a new project for us, expected to arrive sometime in Summer 2025. Running back their Waves series from 2022, this time they are supposedly using the Air Max 90 as the new canvas.

Patta has a long close relationship to Nike’s Air Max family and collaborations. Their first team-up arrived in 2024, and brought us the iconic “Chlorophyll” green Air Max 1, which saw a rerelease for its twentieth anniversary last month. In 2018, the two teamed up for a Nike By You project, which mashed up the AM90 and 95, before striking gold with the AM1 yet again in 2021 & 2022 with the Waves series.

This week, rumors have begun to surface that the two are teaming up again in Summer 2025 to revisit the fan-favorite Waves series. However, this time they are expected to use the Air Max 90 as the canvas, applying the wavy-edged panels to the classic runner. No real images have appeared yet, only the mock-up seen above. With the original release, we got nearly half a dozen different colors, and hopefully will get a healthy dose of the 90 when it finally releases.

PATTA X NIKE AIR MAX 90 “WAVES” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next project from Patta and Nike is not expected to arrive until sometime in Summer 2025, if the rumors are true. Running back their “Waves” release from 2022, this time they are expected to use the Air Max 90 as the canvas.

PUMA’s Mule Version of the Mostro Releases in June

0

PUMA has transformed their retro Mostro sneaker into a Mule slip-on for Summer. Their first in-line pairs of the silhouette land in tonal Sea Kelp and Lilac Frost colorways at the end of the month.

PUMA has been all about their Mostro retro this year, pushing dozens of new styles of the retro model along with a heavy dose of collaborations. Originally released in 1999, the Mostro is an amalgamation or archival PUMA models, mostly pulling from ’60s track spikes and mashing them together with ’80s surfing shoes. A$AP Rocky, Aries, Slam Jam, JJJJound and plenty more have all delivered takes on the unique monstrosity of a footwear product, and this month, the Big Cat is introducing a new version of the sneaker for casual wear.

The Mostro Mule from PUMA originally made its debut about a year ago, in collaboration with Louis-Gabriel Nouchi, far ahead of the brand’s current marketing push for the retro model. This month will mark the simple rubberized sneaker’s in-line debut, just in time for Summer with two tonal colorways. The first pair comes in a bright neon green shade dubbed Sea Kelp, while the second is a much softer Lilac Frost pink tone.

PUMA MOSTRO MULE RELEASE INFORMATION

PUMA’s new Mule version of their retro Mostro silhouette has been scheduled to debut globally on June 30th, 2025, though some retailers like Nordstrom already have pairs available. Releasing in two tonal styles, Sea Kelp green or Lilac Frost pink, pairs will be available from the brand’s website at 9pm PST, for $110.

Nike Dunk Low Drops in a New “Cannon” Green Look Soon

0

Nike is slowing down on Dunk releases in the future, but they still have some fun new styles lined up throughout the rest of 2025. Today, we have an official look at a new “Cannon” green pair, coming soon.

During a recent earnings call, Nike leadership stated that releases of the iconic Dunk would be slowed down over time, as the market has become flooded with too many styles. This started back in 2020 when the Swoosh finally opened the floodgates for one of their most in-demand silhouettes, and gave us nearly every color combination imaginable over the next several years. While releases have, in fact, slowed down this year, though there are still some excellent colors on the horizon.

This week, we are highlighting one of the better new Dunk colorways still waiting for a release date. This new look has official images already loaded on Nike’s backend, meaning a drop is likely coming soon. The pair features a new minty “Cannon” green shade making up the shoe’s leather base layer, adding its overlays in a soft Light Orewood Brown tone. Finally, Sail white midsoles and Swooshes complete the look.

NIKE DUNK LOW “CANNON” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s latest colorway of their standard-issue Dunk Low has not been given a set release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime soon in Summer 2025. Dressed in a new “Cannon” green shade for the base layer, paired with brown and sail tones, pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for the usual $120.

The Air Jordan 4 Gets a “Lakers” Look for the 2026 All-Star Weekend

Air Jordan 4 Lakers FV5029-500

This year’s NBA All-Star Weekend was jam-packed with special releases and unveilings. This week, we have an early leak of something in store for next year’s celebration; a “Lakers” edition Air Jordan 4, complete with Nike Air branding.

NBA All-Star Weekend rolls around every February, marking the halfway point of the NBA season. The weekend gives players a break to relax and recover, while also giving some stars a change to show off and have a more low-key game to participate in. For us non-NBA players, a big part of the weekend is the sneaker releases and activations. Brands typically flock to the host city to show off upcoming new silhouettes, like Nike’s GT Future from this past February, as well as release special-edition products.

This week, we have our first information regarding a special release for the 2026 All-Star Weekend, which is being hosted by Los Angeles. Jordan Brand is reportedly cooking up a special pair of the Air Jordan 4, dressed in a Lakers-themed palette of purple and gold. Shared by SneakerFiles and zSneakerheadZ, their mockup is said to be the shoe’s finalized color blocking, giving us a good idea of what to expect next year. The shoe’s upper will likely come in suede or nubuck, and dyed in a rich Imperial Purple tone. Black plastic cage elements frame the shoe, while gold Nike Air branding appears on the heels. Small splashes of grey will complete the new look.

AIR JORDAN 4 “LAKERS” RELEASE INFORMATION

The upcoming special-edition release of the Air Jordan 4 is slated to arrive early next year, during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in February 2026. Dressed in a Lakers-themed “Imperial Purple” with black and yellow, the color blocking in these mockup photos is said to be the final version. No word yet on how much this special pair will cost.

Salehe Bembury is back with another signature sneaker release this month. This time, the designer-for-hire is making his debut with PUMA, dropping the Velum NITRO runner through an exclusive, and very limited, popup event in Paris next week.

The name Salehe Bembury should ring a bell if you’re even a casual sneakerhead. The footwear designer has been one of the biggest names in collaborations over the last few years, after his “Peace be the Journey” New Balance 2002R was touted as one of the best sneakers of 2020. Since then, Bembury has gone on to create a whole signature line of shoes with Crocs and Anta, as well as collab projects with Vans, New Balance and more. Last year, it was announced that he signed a deal to help PUMA’s revitalized basketball department design new sneakers, which finally debuted last week with Tyrese Haliburton’s “Hali 1“.

Back in January 2025, Bembury teased another upcoming release from PUMA, a runner-inspired silhouette boasting a ton of the brand’s recent NITRO cushioning foam. Cast in a green and blue color scheme, the unknown model has now been identified as the Velum NITRO, a new signature shoe for the designer. Additionally, the model will make its debut to the public next week, in a limited, 100 pair release in Paris. The colorway for this special drop comes in a mix of orange, red, tan, and yellow hues, with a blacked-out sole unit featuring his signature fingerprint-inspired traction.

Patta and Nike are gearing up to release their latest project this month, a Waves edition of the Air Max 90. While two colorways are ready to go, a third style has cropped up this week, dressed in a palette of neutral shades.

Amsterdam brand Patta is seemingly gearing up for a big year with Nike. The two have a long-standing relationship that has produced some of the most sought-after sneaker collaborations of the last two decades, and continues to expand with regular new projects. This month, the two are finally releasing their “Waved” edition of the Air Max 90, a follow-up to the similar Air Max 1 release in 2022. They’ve also teased a pair of the CryoShot Mercurial M9, and now, a third pair of the AM90 has appeared this week.

With the launch colors of the Patta Air Max 90 Waves ready to release this month, the brand has released an editorial highlighting their upcoming matching apparel. Spotted in these photos was a third edition of the AM90, which ditches the colorful styles for a simple, neutral build. The 2025 Air Jordan 5 Retro “Grape” is Now Available

Air Jordan 5 OG "Grape"

The Air Jordan 5 “Grape” is set to make a highly anticipated return in April 2025. This iconic sneaker, originally released in 1990, is one of the most beloved colorways in the Air Jordan lineup. Its unique blend of colors and design has made it a standout choice for sneaker enthusiasts over the years.

The “Grape” Jordan 5 was an unconventional choice for its time, as most Air Jordans featured a strict palette of black, red, and white. The “Grape” introduced a fresh aqua-blue tone. This quickly earned it the “Grape” nickname despite the official color spec being “Grape Ice.” This sneaker was first re-released in 2006 and again in 2013, each time capturing the hearts of Jordan fans.

The 2025 release will stay true to the original color blocking and material specifications. The shoe will feature a combination of White, New Emerald, Grape Ice, and Black, with Nike Air branding on the heel. This attention to detail ensures that the retro release will be as close to the original as possible, maintaining its classic appeal. The design includes a white leather upper, complemented by New Emerald and Grape Ice accents. The iconic translucent outsole and reflective tongue remain, adding to the sneaker’s distinctive look.

Jordan Brand is celebrating its 35th anniversary next year with several iconic releases. The return of the “Grape” colorway is a significant part of this celebration, highlighting the enduring legacy of the Air Jordan 5. Fans can look forward to a year filled with nostalgic and new interpretations of this classic sneaker.

adidas Unveils Their New Megaride AG Model

0
adidas Megaride AG

In 2004, adidas debuted Megaride, a new midsole technology built to compete with Nike’s turn-of-the-century Shox designs. This year, the Mega line is back, with a new silhouette called the Megaride AG coming soon.

Back in the early 2000s, performance technology was advancing rapidly, with major brands like adidas and Nike trying out some wild new concepts. In 2000, the Swoosh introduced Shox, new midsole system composed of spring-like rubber structures, with the idea of literally springing runners forward through their shoes. Shortly afterward, the Three Stripes introduced A3, a similar idea with a different design. Then, in 2004, adidas introduced Megaride, which used a series of hollow structures and stress points to provide a bouncy new cushioning for running.

This year, adidas has revived the Megaride technology, rolling out a number of classic silhouettes and adapting the tech to fan-favorite models like the new Predator Megaride style. This week, adidas has unveiled their first all-new design using Megaride, dubbed AG or Mega X for short. Unveiled by noted sneaker photographer @arab_lincoln, the silhouette features large pod-like structures underfoot, and a Y2K-era inspired upper, made from a mesh base layer and a series of synthetic and plastic overlays. The result looks good; the upper is stylish and brings a sense of motion to the shoe, while the huge midsole likely provides a ton of cushioning for casual, everyday wear.

ADIDAS MEGARIDE AG RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest new lifestyle silhouette from adidas, built on their Megaride midsole technology, has not been announced yet. Dubbed Megaride AG, and Mega X, the soft grey and cream colorway seen here is a 1-of-60 sample series, which likely will not see a public release. However, more colorways are expected to be available to consumers later this year.

Rich “Velvet Brown” Shades Cover the Latest Nike Air Max 95

Nike Air Max 95 Velvet Brown IB6396-200

Nike has plenty of styles in store for the Air Max 95 this year, celebrating the shoe’s thirtieth anniversary. This week, a slew of new pairs surfaced on obscure blogs, including this gorgeous “Velvet Brown” color scheme, coming soon.

The Air Max 95 turned thirty years old this year, and Nike has been celebrating in style with tons of new releases. So far, they’ve introduced a new Big Bubble version of the shoe, which restores the model’s original tooling, as well as releasing some iconic colorways like the OG “Neon” pair among other more recent palettes. Inspired by human anatomy and the layering of a human spine, the model provides plenty of real estate for new color schemes, and a whole batch of them have surfaced this week.

Among the string of new color schemes for the Air Max 95 that emerged this week, one has stood out to us among the rest. Dressed in a palette based around a “Velvet Brown” tone, the look is seemingly inspired by A Ma Maniere’s first release of the silhouette last year, as well as other AMM x Nike projects. The shoe once again features a gradient design, starting in white at the top and transition to grey before adding several shades of brown and mauve across its layered upper. Alternating between suede and leather, shades of Velvet, Baroque, and Orewood brown are broken up by a Smokey Mauve tone, before ending with a blacked-out midsole unit.

NIKE AIR MAX 95 “VELVET BROWN” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s latest colorway to emerge for the Air Max 95’s current retro run has not been announced yet, but will likely arrive sometime soon in 2025. Featuring a palette of brown, grey, and mauve shades, pairs of the new colorway will be available from both Nike and select retailers, with the usual price tag of $190.
