“Brighton Grey” Covers New Balance’s Next 2010 Release

0

New Balance has debuted a new silhouette this season, the 2010. The new model is a completely original shoe, though it leans heavily into the brand’s signature style. This week, three pairs for Summer 2025 have surfaced, coming soon.

The upcoming 2010 model from New Balance is an interesting new addition to their lifestyle lineup. While similar new releases have focused on slim ’70s running styles, like the 471, the 2010 appears to have more in common with the 99x family. The shoe’s layering and shape for the upper are similar to various models from the 99x family tree, but the midsole appears to be a brand new design, with prominent cushioning pods in the heels.

The past few weeks have seen the model’s debut in a small assortment of releases. The “Grey Days” and “Vintage Khaki” pairs have already trickled out into retailers, and Kith released their take on the model for its collaborative debut, and Rich Paul has his own pairs on the way later this year. This week, we have an early look at three new styles coming soon to flesh out the brand’s Summer lineup. First up, one pair comes in a simple and classic triple black palette. Next, we have a grey, black, and cream white combo that adds just a touch of brown under the heels. Finally, a white and soft pink pair with an aged yellow midsole rounds out the new colors.

New Balance’s Made in UK Allerdale Arrives in “Grey Stone” for Fall

0

New Balance introduced their Allerdale model early this Summer, a brand new silhouette dedicated to walking. They have slowly issued new colors over the last few months, with more pairs, like this “Grey Stone” edition, still on the horizon.

New Balance has always been a brand dedicated to walking and taking care of your feet. When the company was founded in 1906, the sole product was a set of cushioned sole inserts that provided extra cushioning and gave you a ‘new balance’. The drive to provide comfort and cushioning is still at the core of every product they release, especially with their new Allerdale model, a silhouette debuted in 2025 with the express purpose of being a walking shoe.

The Allerdale is a somewhat unusual sneaker from a styling standpoint. The silhouette looks like the kind of shoe you could try to pair with a suit or for formal occasions. However, it also has a ton of design choices that seem to be ripped directly from hiking boots. The plastic eyelets for the lacing, the rugged outsole tread, and simple molded sole construction all seem built for the trails. Given its stance as a simple walking shoe though, this makes some sense. The latest colorway for the Allerdale dressed the premium leather upper in a flat Grey Stone shade, with NB logos and laces to match.

NEW BALANCE ALLERDALE “GREY STONE” RELEASE INFORMATION

New Balance’s next release of the new Allerdale silhouette does not have a set date yet, but is currently expected to launch sometime in Fall 2025. The new edition comes in a simple Grey Stone color scheme, paired with a light gum sole unit. The premium walking shoe from their Made in UK program will likely be available from both NB and select retailers, with a price tag set at $250.

adidas Presents the Next Generation of Equipment with the EQT Guidance 91/25

Every few years for the last decade, adidas introduces a new member of the Equipment family. This season, they are adding another new model to the range, though this new EQT Guidance 91/25 shoots for the stars, and will come with a shocking price tag of $500.

adidas Equipment was formally introduced in 1991. Built on the foundation of the ZX franchise from the ’80s, the new line was created by Robert Strasser and Peter Moore, the latter of which famously designed the Air Jordan 1 amongst other icons. The purpose of EQT was boiled down to one line; “Everything that is essential, nothing that is not.” Thus, a new era of adidas running was born. The first wave arrived with a handful of silhouettes, though the EQT Guidance stood head and shoulders above the rest in the opinions of its fans.

This year, adidas is introducing a new era of EQT, after reviving the franchise in the mid-2010s with a string of brand new styles. Dubbed the EQT Guidance 91/25, the name borrows from the naming convention they created in 2017 for the new Boost-equipped era of EQT. Little is known about the technology inside the new model right now, except for the fact that it uses a “Cold Cement” method of construction. Otherwise, the shoe is constructed from clear, synthetic panels, which show off the internal swathe of that sweet, sweet signature EQT Green color. The overlays come in a grid pattern, a standard for the product line, and the interior lining utilizes a soft textile for a more comfortable fit.

ADIDAS EQT GUIDANCE 91/25 RELEASE INFORMATION

adidas’ new generation silhouette from the Equipment line is already popping up on the brand’s release calendars in Asia and Europe, though no US drop has been announced yet. Updating the OG Guidance silhouette for a new age, the EQT Guidance 91/25 will hopefully be available gloally soon, though the release will likely be limited to ann adidas-only drop. Packed with tons of modern running tech, the silhouette is expected to come with a jaw-dropping price tag of $500.

BAPE & adidas Connect for a Collection Celebrating the FIFA World Cup

0
BAPE adidas World Cup Collection

BAPE is perhaps one of adidas’ longest running collaborators, and one of their most consistent. The Japanese brand will join forces with the Three Stripes next year to celebrate the FIFA World Cup, releasing a three-shoe collection for the occasion.

BAPE is one of the most prolific collaborative brands in the world. After its founder, Nigo, stepped away from the streetwear label, the brand took its cult popularity to new heights, unleashing a barrage of special projects and collaborations. However, they maintained their strong partnership with adidas, with whom they release some of the most coveted sneakers of the early 2000s. This week, news of an upcoming special project crossed our timelines, slated for a 2026 release.

The next project from BAPE and adidas will reportedly celebrate the FIFA World Cup, the every-four-years soccer tournament drawing the world’s attention each Summer. While details regarding the project’s actual relation to the World Cup are sparse, we have an early look at three shoes for the collection. First up, the Adistar HRMY is the boldest shoe in the collection, applying BAPE’s signature camouflage to the upper, and adding their shark teeth detailing to the split outsole. Our favorite pair seen here is the Samba, which features a clean white build with dark green accents, and a shooting star logo replacing the medial side stripes. Finally, the Campus ’00s rounds out the project, dressed in black leather with white accents, and also sporting a shooting star on the medial sidewalls.

BAPE X ADIDAS WORLD CUP COLLECTION RELEASE INFORMATION

The next release from Japan’s BAPE and adidas is reportedly arriving early next year, currently penciled in for a February 1st, 2026 release. This is well before the tournaments official start date, so the date is likely to change over the next six months. Featuring the Adistar HRMY, Samba, and Campus, pairs will likely be available through both partners as well as select retailers, with prices ranging from $160 to $200.

The Air Jordan 4 Gets Another Denim Build in “Iced Carmine” for Summer 2026

Air Jordan 4 Denim Iced Carmine HV0823-607 mockup

The 2026 lineup from Jordan Brand continues to expand, as leakers give us more and more sneakers to look forward to next year. This week, the Air Jordan 4 has a new style in the works, dressing the shoe in a soft pink “Iced Carmine” shade of denim, arriving next Summer.

Jordan retro release dominate our release calendars every year. Information regarding new releases tends to surface over a year in advance, giving us plenty of time to speculate about whats hot, what will flop, and what the shoes will even look like. Thankfully, Nike’s early info has become gradually easier to interpret, allowing leakers to create color scheme mockups based on the internal color codes. Cross referencing other shoes for blocking and specific tones, we can usually have a rough expectation of what to expect far in advance of the actual release.

The latest leak from Jordan Brand’s 2026 lineup brings us another early mockup of an Air Jordan 4 release for next Summer. The look will apply a denim upper to the silhouette once again, following in the footsteps of the recent “Washed Denim” style. However, this release will back away from traditional denim colors, instead opting for an “Iced Carmine” shade of light pink. This color will make up the bulk of the shoe’s upper, while the plastic pieces and midsoles come in a sail white shade, with black accents to round out the look.

AIR JORDAN 4 “ICED CARMINE” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next denim edition of the Air Jordan 4 is expected to arrive in Summer 2026, though there is no hard date set yet. Constructed from the durable textile, the silhouette comes in an “Iced Carmine” pink shade, paired with sail and black accents. Pairs will likely be available through both Nike and select retailers, and will likely carry the usual $220 price tag.

Nike SB Dunk Low “Verdugo Mountains” Surfaces With a Revised Look

UPDATE 8/15/25: Official images of Nike SB’s “Verdugo Mountain” Dunk Low have arrived this week. Pairs have already releases overseas in China, with a US release still expected in September.

Nike’s SB division is cooking up a new special-edition release for next year, using their Dunk Low silhouette to pay homage to the Los Angeles area’s Verdugo Mountains, coming soon.

Nike SB’s Dunk releases continue to be some of the best versions of the iconic silhouette, modified for better performance on a skateboard. Their version of the shoe features some slight changes, including a restructured midsole, Zoom air bags in the heels of the insoles, and a thick, puffy tongue piece for added comfort. In addition to their skate shop collabs and in-line releases, the SB team regularly dreams up fun releases that pay homage to skate and BMX culture, like the “Verdugo Mountains” pair coming in 2025.

The Verdugo Mountain range lies just northeast of Los Angeles, California, and is a small range of mountains known for its expansive mountain bike paths. The Dunk Low celebrating them nods to this with a bike graphic on the interior of one tongue, while the other features a map graphic of the area. The shoe is dressed in a pale “Pistachio” green shade, with reflective silver Swooshes outlined in black, and orange Nike branding on the heels.

NIKE SB DUNK LOW “VERDUGO MOUNTAINS” RELEASE INFORMATION

The pale Pistachio green style will likely be available in limited quantities from skate shops with SB accounts for $125.

The upcoming release has undergone some changes in those eight months, revising color and construction for a new sample. Now, the shoes sport a brighter, even mintier shade of green, and the black backing on the Swooshes has been removed entirely.

Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” is Now Available

The Nike Air Foamposite One “Cough Drop” is making its highly anticipated return in Fall 2025. First released in 2010, the sneaker quickly became a favorite among Foamposite enthusiasts for its sleek design and distinctive colorway. Inspired by the popular cough drop candy, the shoe’s black Foamposite shell is paired with glossy red accents along the outsole, adding a unique flair to the already iconic silhouette.

The Foamposite One was originally designed by Eric Avar for NBA legend Penny Hardaway in 1997. While it debuted as a performance basketball shoe, the Foamposite has since transcended the hardwood to become a streetwear staple. The “Cough Drop” iteration captures this transition, blending sports performance with everyday style, making it a timeless addition to Nike’s roster.

This release is part of Nike’s ongoing push to bring back Foamposite classics. The “Cough Drop” joins other retro releases like the “Galaxy” and “Metallic Copper” colorways, all aimed at reigniting the Foamposite era. Nike is focusing on faithful retros, ensuring that longtime fans can relive the golden age of the Foamposite line.

The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low “Better With Time” is Now Available

The sneaker world eagerly awaits the release of the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low “Better With Time.” This collaboration represents more than just another limited-edition sneaker. It tells a powerful story about patience, growth, and the beauty of aging gracefully.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “Better With Time” features a distinctive aged appearance. The upper showcases a black tumbled leather finish that mimics the natural aging process. Additionally, the lateral swoosh has been removed, leaving only a traced outline that represents Nigel’s attempt at drawing the swoosh back on.

The midsole and outsole display intentional distressing marks throughout. These aren’t manufacturing flaws – they’re carefully crafted details that represent life’s journey. Moreover, the hand-drawn bike illustration on the inside box lid adds a personal touch that connects directly to Nigel’s BMX roots. A sophisticated color palette is present, which is dominated by black and cream tones. The primary upper uses black tumbled leather that develops character over time. Furthermore, cream accents appear on the swoosh, laces, tongue, and Wings logo for elegant contrast.

The materials chosen for this collaboration emphasize durability and authenticity. Premium leather construction ensures the sneaker will age beautifully, just like the relationships and passions that inspired its creation.

The sneaker follows the new Air Jordan 1 Low OG silhouette that fans will recognize. The construction includes an extra eyestay added to the lacing setup and a larger swoosh on the midfoot. Additionally, the shape closely resembles the original 1985 version of the model.

The lateral swoosh removal with tracing represents Nigel’s attempt at drawing the swoosh back on. This same motif appears on the heel tab with the wings logo. Additionally, the sockliner features “Jordan Biking Est. 2017” to commemorate the year Nigel started designing his first AJ1 project.

The special packaging includes a white cardboard box with “Bike” text instead of the traditional Nike logo. Furthermore, the inside lid contains a graphic of an actual bike, adding another personal touch to this collaboration.

The Air Jordan 40 in “Blue Suede” Releases Next Week

0

During the official unveiling of the Air Jordan 40 early this week, the brand teased a number of colors slated to arrive in the next few months. Among them was a lovely “Blue Suede” edition, dropping in August 2025.

Jordan Brand’s unveiling of the AJ40 finally went down this week, with the brand inviting a select group of journalists to a showroom in new York City to launch the new performance model. During the event they discussed some of the design choices behind the shoe, announced Trae Young and Paolo Ranchero as the main athletes who will wear the shoe, and shared release plans for new colors. Some of the inspiration for the fortieth edition of Air Jordan came from its early predecessors, including tongues are inspired by the AJ5, a heel counter inspired by the AJ3, and other small nods to the 13, 14, and 18 models.

During the event, JB stated that there would be about 10 pairs arriving within the next year, and shared an early look at the first few releases, “The Classic“, “Dusty Rose“, and a “Blue Suede” edition. The latter is one of our favorite new styles for the model, and build the silhouette’s entire upper in a soft but durable micro suede. The pale Armory Blue shade covers the entire toe box and side walls, while black suede frames the collars and eyestays. Tongues feature a 3M reflective panel at the top, while a white midsole completes the look.

New Balance Dresses Their Made in USA 1300 in Flat “Harbor Grey” Tones

The New Balance 1300 made its every-five-years appearance in May with a special Made variant. Now, the shoe has been added to the brand’s Made in USA roster. This week, the iconic runner has appeared in a new “Harbor Grey” color, coming soon.

The 1300 from New Balance was originally released in 1985, and encapsulated everything excellent about the ’80s running scene in one sneaker. The sleek silhouette features a simple build, mixing mesh and nubuck leather overlays, prioritizing comfort and durability above all. The silhouette quickly became an important piece of the brand’s history, getting its first retro release just ten years later in 1995. Since then, the silhouette has returned every five years, heralded by the Japan edition for each new series.

With that special release for 2025 behind us, New Balance is ready to issue a few standard styles of their classic 1300. We first saw a pair in a simple “NB Navy” build a few months ago, and now that style has been joined by a second impending release. Sticking to their iconic color palettes for this look, the new style comes dressed in “Harbor Grey”. The simple neutral tone covers nearly every inch of the silhouette, save for the white laces and N logo outlines, as well as a plain black outsole.

NEW BALANCE 1300 MADE IN USA “HARBOR GREY” RELEASE INFORMATION

New Balance’s next release of their classic 1300 model, from their Made in USA line, does not have a set release date yet but is expected to arrive in late Summer 2025. Asics’ In-Line GEL-Cumulus 16 Styles Launch This Weekend

0

After debuting their GEL-Cumulus 16 remake in collaborations early this year, Asics is set to launch the model’s first in-line colorways in ten years this week. Offering up two styles, Cream/Ivory and Coud Grey/Bisque, even more pairs are slated for release next week.

Asics’ vintage-styled runners are some of the most popular shoes on the market right now. Their running-turned-lifestyle sneaker offerings have dominated the market over the last few years, and are frequently cited by StockX as some of the most purchased and sold items on their platform. In recent years, Asics has launched their SportStyle category, devoting a team to reviving some of their past classics as well as some under appreciated models. Taking advantage of the current popularity of tech runners, they’ve delivered a number of older models to great success.

This week marks the debut of yet another older running shoe repurposed as a lifestyle model, the GEL-Cumulus 16. Originally released in 2014, still quite modern by retro standards, the model has been recreated in its original form, with little to no overall changes in design. Constructed from an open mesh underlay with no-sew overlay panels and packing GEL, Fluidride and FlyteFoam cushioning, the Cumulus 16 is almost assuredly another hit for the Japanese brand.

Several colorways will kick off the GEL-Cumulus 16’s in-line debut. Two colorful styles will lead the way with a release this week, followed by two more pairs next week. The first two feature vibrant, bright Summer tones. One comes in a cream mesh base, adding bold green and red secondary tones with a yellow accent. The second pair focuses on darker shades, mixing purple and blue hoes over a white mesh base. Next week’s styles lean into more neutral shades of grey and metallic silver.

ASICS GEL-CUMULUS 16 RELEASE INFORMATION

Asics’ latest retro style to return as a lifestyle shoe will launch in new colorways tomorrow, August 15th, 2025. Making its return just over ten years after its debut, the model will first launch in its colorful Cream/Ivory & Grey/Bisque styles before the more neutral grey pairs arrive on August 22nd. Pairs will be available directly from Asics as well as select retailers for $140.

BSTN Presents the adidas Handball Spezial “OG With a Twist” Pack

0

adidas’ archival terrace trainers are in constant rotation in Europe. This explains many of their collaborative partners’ focus on these older models, like BSTN’s new “OG With a Twist” pack featuring the Handball Spezial.

adidas collaborations are frequent, giving a wide range of brands, artists, and designers the chance to reimagine their expansive archive of footwear styles. However, the Three Stripes has an elite tier of partners through the Consortium label, who are given extra tools to alter and amend iconic silhouettes to their liking. All of these partners are retail stores, creating specialty sneakers to tell stories, often in relation to their home cities and communities. This week, Germany’s BSTN has unveiled their latest work with adidas, releasing this weekend.

The latest project from BSTN brings a fun new look to the Handball Spezial, an older trainer that has returned to adidas’ catalog in force over the last year. BSTN’s take on the model revamps the shoe’s OG looks “With a Twist”, adding new panels and high quality materials for a premium finish. The added overlays come in the form of swooping stripes that start at the midfoot and curve across each toe, giving the shoe a more layered appearance. Dressed in either triple white or triple black palettes with gum soles, both pairs are fully constructed from rich, full grain leather, down to their stamped insoles.

BSTN X ADIDAS HANDBALL SPEZIAL “OG WITH A TWIST” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next collaborative project from retailer BSTN and adidas is scheduled to release this weekend, on August 16th, 2025. Featuring the Handball Spezial in two OG colorways “With a Twist”, the black and white styles will be available from BSTN’s stores in Munich, Hamburg, and London, as well as online with global shipping. Pairs come with a price tag of $131.
