Converse’s string of excellent releases continues this week, with the announcement of a new joint project with the United Kingdom’s Offspring. The project uses artwork sourced through a community contest that was then turned into a yet-unseen set of interchangeable patches.

The Converse Chuck 70 has been the basis for dozens of the brand’s high-profile releases in the past year. Between projects with Kith, Carhartt, Chinatown Market and Off-White, its safe to say the timeless basketball silhouette appears to be in peak form right now. This week, Boston-based Converse and their UK consort Offspring took to Instagram to announce their new project. Titled the Chuck 70 “Patch”, the collection utilizes the retailer’s vast network of fans to make this project possible. Several months back, Offspring held a contest for their community to design a patch that would arrive alongside the new Converse shoes. As of this writing, Offspring has yet to unveil the three chosen winners, though they’ve stated that the winners would be announced over the course of this week, before the release on Saturday.
