While Virgil Abloh performed at Coachella this weekend, his music was not the only thing that received attention. New Off-White x Nike sneakers were seen on his feet and later he decided to tease them on his Instagram account.

Abloh’s partnership with Nike began in late 2017 and has taken off ever since. With a range of about 30 different sneakers under their belt, there are no signs of them stopping any time soon. Recently the two brands announced that “The Ten” collection would be ending and now it looks like the plan is to start introducing new models instead of using household named silhouettes. We never know what Nike and Virgil have up their sleeve, but we can always expect something great to come out of it.

For this first look, the model looks to draw influence from the Nike Air Zoom Terra Kiger. Combining a retro runner, hiking aesthetic and even adding track spikes to the bottom of the sole,  Virgil definitely is up to something we haven’t seen before. The all black upper is constructed with nylon panels and suede overlays and contains a hiking style lacing system that accompanies the normal set up. White laces tie down the tongue with an Off-White zip tie attached as usual but a new flare is added in as a black crossbody hiking style lacing system takes on the upper as well. For branding, a silver Nike swoosh takes on the midfoot with Off-White stencil branding on the medial portion and a Nike Air logo on the heels that adds a classic look to the fresh new model. To finish it off, the shoe sits on top of a black midsole and a bright pink outsole.

As of now, we know that Nike and Off-White are confirmed to drop a running-inspired collection this year, so this indeed can be apart of the pack. It will be very interesting to see what the collection and roll out contains. Check out detailed images below and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for updates and other Nike x Off-White news.
