While Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” Exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago just opened up yesterday, official images were loaded up of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 “MCA”.
Sneakerheads’ phones will be stuck to them like glue for the next couple of days as it is rumored that the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 “MCA” could potentially shock drop at any given time. As official images were loaded up yesterday, many wondered when and what time the surprise release would happen but there has not been any luck as of yet.
The Off White x Nike Air Force 1 “MCA’ is even more special than a regular Off-White and Nike collaboration, and we all know how special those are. If you’re a story behind the shoe type of person, this is what it’s all about. This sneaker is a big symbol of how far the streetwear and sneaker industry has come. Virgil has quickly become one of the most famous designers of the generation and clothing and shoes are starting to be noticed even more by the general public as art. To have an exhibit at a popular Museum of Art is a huge accomplishment for not only Virgil but the industry itself. Not to mention it looks great while doing it too.
The Nike AF1 leather upper is dressed in University Blue all throughout and features a perfect Metallic Silver Nike Swoosh on the midfoot. Both in white and solidifying the collaboration, “AIR” is then written in on the midsole while Off-White branding is placed on the inner side panels. White laces tie the silhouette down that features a red zip-tie all while a University Blue midsole finishes the look.

As of now, a shock drop is expected on the Nike SNKRS app. If you do not know how surprise releases work, there will be no warning whatsoever so keep a look out for the release, you will not want to miss out. UPDATE 7/18/19: The OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1 Low “MCA” will be releasing at ComplexCon Chicago this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) via two drawings, and an additional drop on Nike is expected after the convention. Stay tuned for updates.
UPDATE 6/26/19: Today a SNKRS pass went live in Chicago for the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 “MCA”. Normally once a SNKRS pass goes live a public release will go down shortly after so be on the lookout.
