Chicago’s Notre and California’s Vans teamed up in 2018, garnering a cult fanbase thanks to their high quality and attention to detail. Now, the two are back for more, unveiling three more colorways of the “Handshake” Style 36 releasing this week.
The ongoing ‘Handshake’ series from Chicago’s Notre boutique and Vault by Vans is close to becoming a yearly release, with this third iteration arriving in less than three years after the original pairs in 2018. However, this pack appears to take a little more direction, continuing to utilize the handshake jazz stripe motif while imbuing the collection with an outside source of inspiration, namely, our favorite cafe drinks. Titled the ‘Best Served Together’ collection, the latest work from Notre and Vans sees three colorways of the Style 36 LX releasing, each taking on a colorway to represent one of the most popular café drinks in America; brown suede for Espresso, shades of green for Matcha, and finally a mixed blue & white look to mimic ornate ceramic teacups. Each pair prominently features the Notre handshake on the lateral sides, while keeping the rest of the shoe clean and simple.

The latest project from Notre and Vans has been announced for release later this week, on February 3rd, 2022. The third installment in their “Handshake” series, the three pairs celebrate popular café drinks in the form of Espresso, Tea, and Matcha, each coming with a price tag of approximately $90.
