Jordan Brand has yet another Air Jordan 2 scheduled for 2022 with the help of Chicago-born artist, Nina Chanel Abney.
Born in Chicago and now based in New York City, Nina Chanel Abney is a contemporary artist that experiments with modern art and explores topics of race, pop culture, homophobia, and contemporary politics. Now the artist will be featured in Jordan Brand’s 2022 collection with an Air Jordan 2 being decked out in the artist’s vision.
Featuring a classic rendition, the upper arrives in white leather while matching reptile overlays are added to the sides. Light grey suede overlays are placed at the toes while red overlays are used at the heels. A creamy midsole is placed underneath while a grey and red outsole are placed at the bottoms. The sneaker is complemented with a hangtag that features a Michael Jordan-inspired artwork by Chanel herself.

The Nina Chanel x Jordan collection will be released later this year via select Jordan retailers and Nike.com on July 8th, 2022. A retail price has yet to be revealed.
