In celebration of Nike Sporwear’s 25th Anniverasry, a new colorway of Ken Griffey Jr’s Nike Air Griffey Max 1 will be dropping in an alternate Aqua Seattle Mariner’s colorway.
The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 is always in demand but when the sneaker is featured in nostalgic Mariners-inspired colorways, fans come out in full force for the silhouette. This offering nods at the Alternate jerseys the ball club wears with a white leather base with teal nubuck overlays and black detailing for the Nike Swoosh branding along with the Nike and “24” branded ankle straps. Red accents are placed in for Nike Swoosh logos on the tongue and ankles while a white rubber midsole, black Air unit, and black outsole finish off the new makeover.

An official release date has not been scheduled for the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Aqua” but a release is expected to go down soon in the coming weeks via select Nike retailers and Nike.com.
