Nike is celebrating 50 years of its iconic Swoosh logo this year, commemorating the legendary design by Carolyn Davidson with a sprawling collection of shoes for the “First Use” collection, which recently added the Venture Runner to its ranks this week.

Nike’s upcoming “First Use” collection celebrates the origin of the company’s famous Swoosh logo, through a series of special-edition sneakers commemorating the brand’s first use of the now-iconic design by Carolyn Davidson. Numerous classic Nike sneakers have already leaked as a part of the collection, but this week, we have an early look at the latest addition, the Venture Runner. One of the more recent Nike sneakers to join the collection, the Venture Runner pays homage to the running shoe boom of the ’80s with pieces heavily inspired by Nike’s famous footwear from the time period. This colorway begins with a plain white nylon base layer reinforced by off-white suede overlays, and completed by a bold green Swoosh, marking its inclusion in the “First Use” project.
