In recent years, they have ramped up their annual offering for the Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City, locking in for limited-edition colorways that celebrate the island nation’s heritage. Their latest “Puerto Rico” style is set to arrive this week, and takes inspiration from an original version of the PR flag, drafted by exiles of the island in NYC in 1895. The Shox R4 is the canvas for this release, cast in a soft Glacier Blue shade, with bold red accents and metallic silver Shox tech under the heels. The embroidered details come in white, using the red accent to act as a shadow, giving each added detail a 3D look.

Nike’s next release celebrating the culture and history of Puerto Rico is scheduled to release this week, on June 5th, 2026. The release falls a week ahead of the Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City, with retailers Takout and Up NYC currently the only two shops that will release this special pair. The retro runner comes in a Glacier Blue shade with bright red accents, and will come with a price tag of $155.
