The Nike SB box will always be an iconic one. While the packaging has gone through a couple of different looks throughout the years, Nike SB will start the new decade with a brand new purple box, beginning a new era.
It all started in the early 2000’s when Michael Hernandez and Sandy Bodecker, employees of Nike SB at the time saw a new vision for the SB packaging. While then they arrived in the usual orange and black box like other Nike’s, through a lengthy process of approval, finally the Silver box era began. That was around for about a year or so and then the transition to the oink box began, which is one of the more popular colored packaging of the Nike SB timeline. The famous box then went on to find itself in black, gold, blue, brown, tiffany blue and now a fresh new purple colorway that featured white accents. Nike SB has seen a recent resurgence and a box change can mean that 2020 will play host as a big year for the sneaker. Only time will tell but we can only hope.
