Nike SB is expected to debut their Color of the Month series soon, and today we have our first look at the final piece of the collection, Fly Streetwear’s take on the SB Air Force 1.
Way back in 1984, just two years after the Air Force 1’s debut, Nike released their first Color of the Month series. The Swoosh was on the verge of discontinuing the still-new silhouette, and stores on the East Coast saw a surge in demand for the diminishing stock of the basketball shoe. Local retailers asked Nike to continue to produce the AF1, also requesting exclusive colorways they could rotate in and out of their catalog, and the Color of the Month series was born. This year, Nike SB is bringing back the classic project with their modified take on the silhouette, releasing exclusive pairs through four retail partners.
The SB version of Color of the Month sees them partnering directly with retailer for a series of four Air Force 1 colorways. The skate shops have been specifically chosen from around the world, representing each major Nike market including Ben-G from Amsterdam, Instant from Japan, Nocturnal from the USA, and Fly Streetwear from China. Fly’s pair is the last to be revealed, teased in some blurry close-up photos this week. Just like its counterparts, their shoe comes in a two-color palette, mixing a Photon Dust suede upper with bold University Gold accents for the branding, heel tabs, and outsoles.
FLY STREETWEAR X NIKE SB AIR FORCE 1 RELEASE INFORMATION
The final piece of the upcoming Nike SB Color of the Month series featuring the Air Force 1, from Fly Streetwear, has not been officially announced yet. Pairs are expected to drop regionally over the next few months, putting Fly’s pair on shelves late in 2026 or early 2027. Their version comes in an off-white Photon Dust shade with striking gold accents. Pairs will likely be exclusive to Fly’s stores in China, with a price tag equivalent to $120.
