The Nike Blazer has been on fire in 2019, lighting up sneaker release calendars through projects with Off-White, Stranger Things, Slam Jam Socialism, and more. Now, the reworked Blazer is back in a subtle new green colorway courtesy of Nike SB.

The Nike Blazer was first released back in 1973 as one of the brand’s first basketball shoes. The sleek silhouette quickly became one of the most favored shoes on the court and helped to propel Nike to the basketball-dominant brand they are today. Now, the Blazer can be found anywhere, torn up by skaters, styled by fashion designers, and still representing in the streets. Nike has spent a lot of time with the Blazer silhouette in 2019, making it a part of numerous collaborations and other special releases. While this week’s release doesn’t carry any high-profile names attached to it, it is mostly just a solid all-around colorway from the team at Nike SB. Taking the Blazer Mid in suede, the team reconstructed the upper in a smooth Jade Horizon suede, which equates to something like faded green. A darker Sequoia tone is added to the laces, Swoosh, and heel tab, while flashes of gold embroidery complete the look.
