Nike and Kobe have consistently produced some of the most technologically advanced sneakers in years. The new Kobe AD NXT 360 is no different, due to the incredible new Flyknit 360 upper. Flyknit 360 is a technological marvel. Originally, knit uppers on shoes had to be made in huge textile sheets, then whichever shape was needed was cut out and applied to the sole. However, Nike has engineered a new way to construct the knit around the shape of their lasts. (Lasts are what give a shoe shape in the process of building it.) Because of this, the Flyknit technology can now be built around the whole foot, including underneath. Once the Flyknit bootie is built, a rubber outsole is glued to the bottom to provide traction and a removable insole slips inside for a customizable feel.
The latest colorway of the Kobe AD 360 is the cleanest yet. Titled “Infrared” the new look takes inspiration from past Nike and Kobe models for a perfect Summer palette. The Flyknit upper on this pair comes in a simple white, accented by a reflective silver Swoosh and heel plate. The rubber outsole comes in a soft, creamsicle-like orange matching the midsole insert, while a Nike Kobe logo on the heel completes the look in bright red.

The next new colorway of the Nike Kobe AD NXT 360 is scheduled to launch on June 14th, 2018. The “Infrared” look will release form both Nike and select retailers like Footlocker for $200.
