Nike’s Vapormax line has cooled off in recent years, with the brand slowing down on applying the full-length bubble technology to their entire product line. However, the excellent 2023 Flyknit edition is still kicking, with a new “Red Stardust” pair coming soon for Fall 2024.
Nike’s Vapormax technology made its debut back in 2017 for that year’s Air Max Day celebration. The new midsoles were a huge leap forward in their Air technology, creating a full sole out of just the air bags, with extra tough outer rubber layers to keep them from popping. The Vapormax tech has evolved since then, making it more and more durable with each new iteration.
While the Vapormax sole has lost some of its heat in the sneaker world in the last few years, as Nike has focused more heavily on retro styles, they still have some fresh colorways of the shoe on the way in 2024. This week, we have an early look at a “Red Stardust” look for the Air Vapormax 2023 Flyknit, the current standard for the model. This pair comes with the namesake pale red midsole, and is paired with a Pure Platinum and Wolf Grey knit upper.

Nike’s next release of their 2023 Air Vapormax Flyknit has not been scheduled to release quite yet, but will arrive sometime in Fall 2024. The “Red Stardust” pair comes with the red tinted midsoles and a pure grey upper, releasing from both Nike and select retailers with its usual $210 price tag.
